Hello, this will not only be an editorial regarding behaviours of Marvel fans but also a response to the violent and aggressive comments I have currently received within my Guardians of The Galaxy article, so I decide to make a continuation ala mode Part 2. Somehow my thoughts have angered a lot of people especially many Marvel fans who can't handle my own opinion. If I have an opinion I should have a opinion and not the same opinion as you. That of which I saw was very biased towards my thoughts and unfair on many grounds. I very mad over this but will let anger subside to make an even more valid statement now.
We all love comics books right? I share a certain love for many comic book characters. Some of my favourite is Batman, Black Green Lantern, and Spider-Man. Batman has a certain quality Marvel characters do not have and he is very unique in a sense even in his own universe. Batman is a character that has always been treated with respect within films. To have a character like Batman to have a series of successful and amazing films is good on DC's own behalf. Even every Superman or Superman related film made has been perfect. That is because DC has created the perfect formula with the help of partnering with a well established film studio like Warner Bros. They always had a plan to begin with, whether or not you can agree or disagree they always have had a firm foot on their own properties and nothing was with any other studio. It was and always has been under one roof. They had it together before Marvel. Marvel on the other hand did the clumsy thing to sell off to any studio and now till today they are scrambling to get the rights back under one roof. What plan did Marvel have, none. They started their own cinematic universe but that's nothing. Blinded Marvel fans seems to think they started the entire cinematic universe idea within films when it has been done long before in films. Why take credit of an idea you didn't make? Also these films have barely been amazing at all.
Marvel doesn't make films for the memories compared to DC, they make it for the money of course. That has been a vile greed and tradition within Hollywood. You can say Iron Man was a good film but it can never compare to how amazing the first Tim Burton Batman film was. You can say Captain America was a landmark but it can't compare to the first theatrical Superman film. You can say The Avengers was an all time legendary gathering of remarkable heroes but it can't compare to Man of Steel on a greater scale or Nolan's Batman films. DC films have a certain quality that last. Marvel films may be good on their own standard but that's their own standard which is in my honest opinion a very low standard but not terrible. Yes they are able to please the fans and also unfortunately often alienate the actual audience who doesn't read the comics.
I have previously enjoyed films such as Thor 2, for the sense of adventure and breathtaking effects. All the side characters within Thor 2 were not pointless and helped progressed Iron Man 3 was especially the best Iron Man film in the series and a step up from the first. If your going to say Iron Man 1 was better than 3 then you need to get your eyes checked. If your going to go with Iron Man 1 just on a wow I have never seen this character before scale then okay but on a larger scale Iron Man 3 pumped it up a notch and threw everything at you in an amazing way. The Mandarin was handled perfectly and Tony's character was just taken on this emotional ride which nearly destroyed him from the inside out. I just enjoyed those films for what they were, not as amazing as Man of Steel but for what they were they pulled it off.
Knowing way back Marvel was making a Guardians of The Galaxy, I had a lot of questions since I was not familiar with the team of characters. Many fans like myself had questions. Then we were reminded of what happened with DC and The Green Lantern. Look put your hate aside, I didn't think Green Lantern was that bad. Compared to most fanboy arguments of the majority of people who dislike Iron Man 2, Green Lantern compared to that was certainly better. It had a better story and atmosphere with some amazing effects. Now the script for Green Lantern may have been clouded but it certainly knew what the story wanted to be. Where with Iron Man 2 it ended up not only with a clouded script but a confused story and a crowd of many underused characters. Compare to Green Lantern where every character has a certain trait that you know to identify them by, it was a more character driven journey. This is what Guardians of The Galaxy exactly wanted to be much like Green Lantern, a character driven journey.
There are people that like the film (Hardcore Marvel Fans) that are able to see through all the major problems and just get excited like a Justin Bieber fan at one of his concerts (it's just a simple comparison calm down). Oh yes finally the characters I have read are making into a movie "I don't care about anything else I will just enjoy it!", quote of many hardcore Marvel fans would just think. No matter what they do to change the character or how they alter the story they will be blind in a way of everything. No matter if they dumb it down a notch and just made it a G rated Disney fest it would still be enjoyed. Then there are the critics like myself who are able to give a fair opinion on films that hardcore Marvel fans can't because they are blind to the imperfections. Am both a Marvel and DC fan but I am never one sided, everything I currently have and will say is a fair opinion and the utter most truth above all else. And the real truth is, all and most of these reviews and opinions over Guardians of The Galaxy is coming from the hardcore Marvel fans. A 92% on Rotten Tomatoes is this some kind of joke? Who am I to take Rotten Tomatoes seriously anyway when they have a dumb kids movie like The Lego Movie at 96%. The first Godfather film is 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and the Lego Movie is just a few notches below, let that sink in a bit.
Then there are people that compare Guardians of The Galaxy to New Hope Star Wars. Star Wars was revolutionary, it was brilliant. It wasn't a train wreck and it wasn't filled with dumb immature humour. It was more intelligent and had a much deeper story. It wasn't on a Michael Bay standard blockbuster scale like most films today, it was simple. The villains were never underused and they actually had a purpose. You can't compare Ronan to Darth Vader when Darth Vader actually managed to have better scenes that all of Ronan combined. And Darth Vader was never clumsily defeated because of some retard dancing in front of him. the end. Thanos and The Emperor comparison? At least The Emperor has done stuff compared to Thanos just sitting in his throne constantly. What is the point of using Thanos now Marvel when he just simply does nothing? Couldn't have Marvel waited until giving him a full appearance, just doesn't make sense.
I could go on and on about Guardians of The Galaxy even more, but I will you people decide your own opinions as I have chosen my own opinions and in my opinion, more wisely.
I will also like to give a shout out to my friend Mark for introducing me to CBM, helping me edit this article and the first part, your 100% Linkin Parktastic!
