Karen Gillan Talks GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY And Joining The Marvel Cinematic Universe
The Doctor Who actress - who it is believed will be playing 'Nebula' in the James Gunn helmed movie - talks very briefly about her villainous role in Guardians of the Galaxy and reveals exactly how Marvel Studios welcomed her to their Cinematic Universe.
"What can I tell you?" said Karen Gillan when quizzed about her still unrevealed role in Guardians of the Galaxy at the San Diego Comic Con. "I'm playing a very bad person!" This isn't the first time that the former Doctor Who actress has hinted that she'll be a villainous character in the movie, and once again adds some legitimacy to those reports that she's set to portray 'Nebula', the granddaughter of Thanos. As for how Gillan feels about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she added: "I don't know! I got a letter saying, 'Welcome To The Marvel Universe' which was THE most exciting thing that I've ever read." With Chris Pratt already confirmed to be in attendance, don't be surprised if Gillan also makes an appearance at Marvel's panel later today.
