It was recently confirmed that Will Poulter will take on the role of Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The character's introduction was first teased at the end of Vol. 2 when Ayesha created the perfect Sovereign in order to help her destroy Star-Lord and his team once and for all.
While Poulter has briefly commented on the casting on social media, the actor talked more about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe during a recent red carpet interview.
"I feel very, very lucky and very honored to [have] been welcomed into the Marvel family," he says. "Particularly into a franchise like Guardians of the Galaxy, which I regard to be incredibly creative and very, very unique. And James Gunn [is] someone I really, really admire. So, I feel very lucky."

When the interviewer asked if Poulter is ready to "flex," he added: "I better get ready, I guess. I better get ready. Working on it, working on it."
This is definitely an inspired casting choice on Marvel Studios' part, and given what a storied history Adam Warlock has on the page, there really are countless things Gunn can do with him. Something we can say for sure, though, is that the Guardians will have a real challenge on their hands with this guy.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to be released in theaters on May 5, 2023.
