Warner Bros. just announced an official release date for Bettlejuice 2 last week, and cameras are already rolling on Tim Burton's long in-development horror comedy sequel.

The first photos from the set have now been shared online, giving us a glimpse of returning star Winona Ryder (Stranger Things) as Lydia Deetz.

The actress was spotted getting into a car just after filming a scene, but we can still make out her costume in the blurry snaps, and Lydia doesn't seem to have changed all that much since we last saw her over 30 years ago. In fact, she looks exactly the same!

Lydia was the focus of the Beetlejuice animated series that ran from 1989 to 1991, but Ryder didn't return to voice the character, with Alyson Court stepping in to play the fan-favorite goth girl.

Michael Keaton is also set to reprise his role as the titular Bio-Exorcist, with Scream and Wednesday star Jenna Ortega on board to play Lydia's daughter. Other new cast members include Monica Bellucci as Betelgeuse's wife, Willem Dafoe as an afterlife cop, and Justin Theroux has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role.

Wednesday creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are currently working on the script.

The Ghost with the Most will return to theaters on Sept. 6, 2024.
