In the last few days, reports of original Ghostbusters star Bill Murray shooting some sort of role in 2016's reboot of the franchise. This was promptly confirmed, and now the website birthmoviesdeath.com claim to know exactly what that role is.

Devin Faraci, the Editor-In-Chief of BMD, claims to have seen the script from the upcoming film, and as such, claims to know Murray's role in the reboot. Of course, the claim is only a rumour, so be sure to take it with a grain of salt.

Bill Murray is set to play a new character named Martin Heis. According to Faraci, Heis is a "professional supernatural debunker", who will "prove" that the Ghostbusters are fakes. It is also reported that the role will only be a small one, but should Faraci's claims be true, it would seem that Murray's new role is something of a nod to where Peter Venkman was at the beginning of Ghostbusters II. The same report claims that the part of Heis was actually written specifically for Murray.

But what do you guys think? Do you think this is an accurate claim, or do you think BirthMoviesDeath is making things up? Are you hoping this be the role Murray undergoes, or were you hoping for something bigger? Make sure to leave your opinions in the comments below, and hit that thumbs up!

@DrDoom I'm personally not a fan either. Not overly excited for the film at all :/

@Jollem I would've liked to see how a modern day Ghostbusters would fit into a world where there have already been instances where a former Ghostbusters team was needed.

I I don't understand any of the hate for this movie.

4 really funny actresses in a new spin on the classic series that's not a reboot or a sequel, but almost like an elseworlds story.

What if the Ghostbusters took place in modern day and were all female and not male.

"4 really funny actresses"

Calling Melissa Mccarthy funny? Now that is funny.

Broad City and Garfunkel and Oates actresses

Just get rid of the current cast and replace them with these four. Tell me this cast wouldn't make for a funnier film??

@Gusto ah ok, I'm the same (obviously, I won't let that get in the way of me reporting on it, but I'm not personally excited at all).
