KAPOW '12: Rufus Sewell Teases An ABRAHAM LINCOLN VAMPIRE HUNTER Sequel

Answering fan questions earlier today on the floor of the Kapow! Comic Convention in London, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter villain Rufus Sewell reveals whether or not he'd return for a sequel and teases the fate of his character.

I was at the Kapow! Comic Convention in London today and managed to grab the following video of Rufus Sewell (Adam in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) discussing the chances of a sequel to the film from Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov. He also touched upon whether or not his character - the leader of the vampires and main villain of the piece - will return in that possible follow-up. Footage from the film was also shown, so stay tuned to CBM later today for details on that and much, much more.

"They couldn't quite make their mind up during filming whether my character lived or died actually at the end. But to tell you the truth as people kept saying, 'I'm a vampire so it doesn't really matter.'"

"In terms of the sequel, I mean, from what I've seen it looks really exciting. Until I've seen the entire film, I couldn't make a pronouncement on that. But I loved doing it. Dominic Cooper is an old friend of mine and we really enjoyed working with each other. Ben I liked very much."

"It was great fun working in New Orleans. The only regret I had is that if I had known how hot it was going to be in New Orleans, when they tried the cape and the gloves on me, I might have had something to say about it! It's very difficult eating New Orleans food if you don't want to be the world's first tubby vampire of the film world, you know?"

"The experience of doing it was great fun. And if the movie is as fun to watch as it was to do, then I'd be up for a sequel possibly. But you know, I'll hold back on that for the moment."

I will be shocked if the American public goes to see this. I mean, I'm going, but the general public? I don't know.

Love Rufus, I think he's one of the finest actors around, but I just can't get behind this movie. Here's something I can get behind.

Really? The movie hasn't even been released, and their already deciding on doing a sequel. Maybe they should learn from Warner Brothers, and stop green lightning sequels to movies that haven't been released yet.

Gotta love Rufus. Man does awesome job always on screen. :)

I wish they cast him as Baron Mordo when Doctor Strange movie comes. Or as Doctor Doom when new Fantastic Four movie comes.
Dude would [frick]ing own both roles.
