Is funny. Loved the movie though.

I have a feeling that The Avengers franchise is going to end up like a summer camp for superheroes. Every two years, they meet up.

Yeah it was disappointing, but hopefully the mcu doesn't repeat this recipe.

Explain how its a box office hit and miss? It did well both financially and critically.

If you wanna give that title to a cbm this year then it goes to mos. Simply because the raping the critics gave it.

I do agree the humour could've been toned down but I loved the story. Was a very cool take on the character. Was I looking forward to Mandarin? Of course being an IM fan. But I couldn't get my head around how it wouldve been done well. If you dont know what his rings actually do then I suggest you read up. It may change your opinion.

and the whole false faces thing at the end when killians tells them that its time for both of them to stop hiding behind false faces, Killian behind the Faux- Mandarin and Tony behind his suits and thats when he declares his the mandarin in that he is not the mandarin literally but more in the sense that he was behind the actions of the faux-mandarin and tonys house getting destroyed,now iron man 3 is not a perfect film, in fact its my weakest superhero film of the summer but i still really like it, i did leave with questions about extremis and the implications for the future of the iron man franchise but i loved the films ideas , themes etc so much, i didnt really care. now i will address some of the complaints that i hear, people are like "great another evil businessman plot, we had that in the first film", we did ,but thats iron man s thing, he fights dudes in armored suits and dudes in business suits, hell, even the mandarin wears a suit now in the comics and we only think of the mandarin in the robes because of the animated series and the older 80s comics in which it was first introduced, Killians Plan is also very similar to The Mandarins in The Haunted story, which actually made the mandarin cool imo, in which he reinvented himself as a businessman, Killian also shares alot of the characteristics of the modern businessman mandarin, he is egotistical, ruthless and he fights like the mandarin, the only changes i can see are that the rings have been substituted with extremis which is still in sync with the rest of the films in which Favreau wanted the films to be more scientfic and tech based and extremis is birthed out of science and that he is not chinese which again fits with the idea of a white evil businessman controlling the type of threat that has replaced him, the terrorist , they are ideas that i can go indepth with it but i have made this post much longer then i intended but i will end it with, people dont worry, the rest of phase 2 will not be like this because this was Blacks and Pearces idea of what they wanted to do with the film and black said in interviews that he likes the types of movies that subvert your expectations around every corner and thats what the film did for people, it subverted our expectations in that we thought film would be dark but it was not and the mandarin would be this huge thing..no he is not and that got mixed response from people who loved that unpredictability and subversive quality of the film and some that didnt, and not every phase 2 film is gonna be like this, it will have its own vision, its own writers and directors and marvel wants the directors to have their sensibilities in a film because that what makes a director interested and invested in a studio project ,if they will be able to do what they want in the film , have their sensibilities and the thing is not everyones sensibilities are the same, they are very few films people agree on, every person has their own opinion on a film based on their sensibilities and tastes, thats why i am less concerned with cap and thor because marvel will not pull a stunt like this again because they most likely know the mixed response this got and that they knew people would be pissed and while i think not everyone is love those films because people might want different things from them then another people, i think they be less controversial , my concern is with guardians because james gunn sensibilities are definitely not everyones sensibilities, he has this weird and out there tones to his films and they appeal to people with those sensiblities while it definitely doesnt appeal to people who dont have those kinds of sensiblities, so thats why im concerned that guardians might not succeed that well,oh and people stop complaining about this movie being to kiddy or disneyfied, if it was kiddie, people would not be exploding and tony wouldnt call harley a pussy so and the kid was not disneys idea, THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THESE FILMS, THEY JUST GET SOME OF THE DISTRIBUTION MONEY, thats a shane black thing ex, The last action hero remeber?, so stop talking about that,

Honestly, I don't think people would have bitched so much if Killian was a). Asian and b). a different character entirely.

I dont think people would have complained as much if the film was less of a comedy and more of a thriller
