IRON MAN 3 After-Credits Scene To Feature Edgar Wright Helmed ANT-MAN Sequence?

We don't know the specifics of what exactly it will contain, but Edgar Wright has revealed on Twitter that he has "directed one shot" in a summer movie. Could he be talking about an Ant-Man appearance in the after-credits scene of Iron Man 3?

Has Edgar Wright inadvertently revealed Iron Man 3's after-credits scene? Here's what the director (who has signed up to helm 2015's Ant-Man) Tweeted just a few minutes ago. As you can imagine, a lot of people guessed that it was the Marvel movie he was talking about. Were they right? It's hard to find any other serious suggestions from his followers, so quite possibly, yes!





Personally, I'm not so sure. While this scene could be setting up Ant-Man's introduction in The Avengers sequel, there's been no word on whether Marvel even has anyone in mind for the role, while other recent reports have indicated that the after-credits scene will have something to do with Guardians of the Galaxy. Wright's use of the word "one shot" may also be noteworthy...what do you guys think? As usual, be sure to sound off with your own thoughts and theories below!

This would be awesome, but why would they tease Ant-Man when it's so far away? Wouldn't Thor 2 be the logical choice for the after-credits scene since it's the next Marvel film being released?

I would honestly prefer if there was just a mid-credits scene and no after the credits scene. At this point a lot more people are staying after the credits so there really isn't a point to make people wait that long. It would make things easier on the theater workers too, I would imagine it would be difficult to begin cleaning the theater with a bunch of people still sitting in there.

@Batmaniac Well, the after credits scene (if this is true *fingers crossed*) is sure to be leaked online at some point. If you don't want to see IM3, then you could just wait til the scene is leaked. Not something I'd do, but hey.

I'll say this too. I like this idea better than the GOTG after-credits idea. GOTG is my most anticipated Phase 2 film, but I really don't like the idea of Tony interacting with them (at this point anyway).

Also, I personally think this movie will be great! Got a great writer/director, a talented cast, a classic Iron Man baddie in the Mandarin, plus the trailers have got me excited!
