The second DC Showcase animated short, "Jonah Hex," will appear as a bonus feature on the Special Edition Blu-Ray and 2-Disc Special Edition DVD release of "Batman: Under the Red Hood."

Scripted by renowned author Joe Lansdale and starring the voices of
Thomas Jane (Hung), Linda Hamilton (The Terminator), Michelle
Trachtenberg (Mercy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Michael Rooker
(Days of Thunder), the DC Showcase short is based on the award winning
comic series. The short is rated PG-13.



In the DC Showcase story, the tough-as-nails bounty hunter Jonah Hex
always gets his man - until someone else gets to him first - in this
case a murderous madam who wants to steal more than just her bounty
from Jonah Hex.

this looks 1000 times better than the god awful looking live action one. I love Brolin, but he can't save that movie

WTF, they give Thomas Jane this version as opposed to the LVAM version...well at least the die hard fans who wanted him to play hex will now get their wishes come true

Look at this as an appetizer, for when the movie comes out. Not everybody knows Jonah Hex, I'm only marginally aware of who he is.

@remi, I agree with ya man. They had the perfect oppurtunity to make a gritty and dark western with Morricone music...but no, we getting Constantine meets wild wild west*sighs and shakes head in disapproval*

The Spectre short on COTE is awesome! This one, meh. Jonah Hex is boring. He was alright on JLU. I wish they would do more JSA members on these shorts. It was such a tease to see an animated Dr. Mid-nite on JLU with NO LINES! I am excited for the Green Arrow short though.

Well though as its a origin movie, who says he don't get the eye by the end of the flick or gets it it JONAH HEX 2!?

Yeah a bit of wishful thinking there lol, but theres always hope!

They should just do a full-on animated JSA movie. As much as I love the Justice League, it's starting to get a little stale. I did love the animated Power Girl in Crisis.

Actually Jane made that himself with the help of a friend who did make up effects as he was trying to get the role the animation for the Jonah Hex short looks awesome ... here's a stupid question Ed Gross were are the old images ? this is the first look I got to see must have been sleepin to miss the first images lol
And the movie looks good despite the origin twist .....

HMM, upon a closer look Jonah is missing the skin tissue over his mouth that is part of the Hex image no eye in the movie no skin tissue over the corner of his mouth in the animated short, still both are going to be awesome. So we've = out lol.
