Remember 1995's film Judge Dredd? Well I still do! That film has 15% on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, over 10 years later, the reboot titled "Dredd", has just scored 91% on Rotten Tomatoes thanks to the first 47 reviews that have been posted.

"Fueled by bombastic violence and impressive special effects, rooted in self-satire and deadpan humor, Dredd 3D is a rare example of a remake that actually works."

So will you guys be checking Dredd out? or not? comment below and let me know.

Imma check it out for sure, I remember going into comic book stores when I was younger and seeing Dredd comics on the walls and thought he was a badd ass back then, I can imagine this portrayal will be more akin to the comic than Stallones was.

I wonder if the people involved with this movie are getting mad that they are calling this a remake of the Stallone cut???

Rotten tomatoes has no credibility. It's logic is so flawed. I saw the film, and it wasn't better than TDKR, The Amazing Spider-Man, though not far off, I liked Dredd a little more actually, or Batman Begins. But according to this, it's like the best thing since The Avengers.... I'll wait for the percentage to fall slightly. It deserves more of an 85.

Being a resident from the UK, I can tell you that this film is awesome!

Personally I'd put it on par with The Avengers - It's brutal, violent and fun! Cinema at it's best... And unlike other franchises, the film makers had the balls to make it R-Rated/18!

Best way to describe it is:

Robocop + Die Hard + Escape from New York + a bit of District 9 = Dredd!

I urge every CBM lover to check this out, you won't be disappointed - And YES i do want a sequel!

Abolutely loved this damn film! Convinced i'd hate 3D forever... Was it James Cameron's over-hyped, over-rated and just plain self-indulgent Avatar that convinced me otherwise? Nope. It was a simple, 90 minute balls-to-the-wall romp called Dredd!

47 reviews isn't exactly the best way to judge a major motion picture, people. It means it's good, not masterpiece.

Believe the hype. Seen it and it makes TDKR look like a very flawed plodding kiddy fest. Dredd would make Bruce Wayne shit bat guano.

RT is actually good, best website source with Actual critics weight, better than IMDB
i knew the 100% will drop but damn 91% is REALLY GOOD, so far the best 2nd in comics. its even higher than TDKR and lower than Avengers(92%) by 1% but well i predicted a final 87% or 88% final, looking SO forward to see this one, and well COMIC adaptaptations are ruling 2012 i feel bad for The hobbit (IS it comic?) and well finally after TDKR a good film to do good in BO after one of the WORST WEEKENDS of BO, damn TDKR had no competition they had it soo easy, anyways looking forward for this good reviews, good fans raction, and the 3rd comic movie that is looking/deserving the 3D affect apperently. (Avengers,TASM,Dredd) Thank you CBM's

@ Charlie2094 I know what Rotten Tomatoes is for, I'm just saying it's not something to go by or report about to determine whether the movie is good, because genuinely better movies can get lower scores just because less people griped about it.
