Long before WarnerMedia confirmed that the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League would come to HBO Max, Zack Snyder shared what appeared to be photographic evidence that his version of the movie is real. What we didn't know at the time is that those metal film cans were just props on the set of Army of the Dead.
In a new still from the Netflix project released by Entertainment Weekly, the team of mercenaries could be seen entering a vault. To their left, you'll notice what appears to be the "Snyder Cut."
As Easter Eggs go, this is genius.
Recently, Snyder described Army of the Dead as "a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall zombie heist movie, so it's genre-on-genre in a great way. So you expect pure zombie mayhem, and you get that, 100 per cent. But also you get these really amazing characters on a fantastic journey. It's going to surprise people that there's a lot of warmth and real emotion with these great characters."
Army of the Dead is set to follow the survivors of a zombie plague that originated from Area 51. Las Vegas is walled off to contain the undead, but that leaves a lot of cash lying around, hence why this crew decides to embark on a heist. We're guessing they're more interested in the money than Justice League, but it would be quite the twist if that turned out to be the premise, don't you think?
