Hey guy's and gal's before we start I'd like to say that this one is gonna be a long one but hopefully a fun and interesting one as well.

I decided to do this because we're up ahead of the trailer of what is for me and many others the most anticipated movie next year.
I filtered the images myself because I'd had a problem with the way some of the images had been unfiltered with many cases of over and under saturation, excessive brightness...

So let's get going

1st comes the Godfather - Superman

Let's start at the top.

Kal-El looks more mature if we go by this picture and some other ones that I'll address later on.
He's got a cleaner cut with shorter hair and more commandeering look on his face, especially when compared to his most lost and confused one seen in MoS.

The new S or House of El family crest have seen some change as well, now with a swift line carrying a different texture crossing the middle of the S.
The other point seems to be that the S itself seem smaller but also a lighter shade of red.

As we can see on the abdominal area the chainmail texture as been changed, now following a V pattern downwards, emphasising his abs.
The "wristband's" pattern has also changed now, being a series of separate bands, a similar change has happened to bands on the side of his torso, these now being more angular.
The "belt buckle" is now rectangular does not protrude and also carries the house of El symbol.
The belt itself is thicker and now has kryptonian symbols.

Superman's boots now have hard soles and a double rim on the top.

2nd Comes The Caped Crusader - Batman

Let's start at the top

The first and most obvious point(eheh) here is that the bat ears are indeed shorter, something that is up to personal taste but that I personally prefer, especially since I assume this Batman is gonna be more of a bruiser that's willing to get in the middle of the fight.
The interesting bit is that the actual cowl is less angular than previous ones with smoother lines that funny enough make him look scarier, that along with the shorter ears make it look more like an actual cowl instead of a helmet.

The Bat symbol(taken straight out of TDKR) as one can see is a much thicker one than the ones previously seen on the big screen mirroring the Batman carrying it.
One can see that there have been numerous attempts at knife attacks, this Batman is seasoned.
The texture of the suit is interesting as well, reminding one of kevlar and other protective materials.

Yes, yes "look at them guns!", but more importantly than that let's look at the cape folded backwards, obviously implying that we may finally get the cape over arm and shoulders from the comics and TAS.

Here we can have a look at the Bat utility belt, which seems like it will finally be as full of gadgets and as useful as it is in the comics, this obviously is assumed by looking at how bulky it is.
The gauntlets look amazing along with the gloves, I believe they will open up to reveal a mini computer (ala: Arkham games) but that's just conjecture.
Oh and DAT BATCROTCH!

3rd Comes the Amazonian Princess - WonderWoman

Let's start at the top

Not much to be said here aside from the fact that you can see the star on the tiara( will she use it as a weapon?) other than that WonderWoman is gorgeous as one would expect.

Here comes the good stuff.
As one can see we're getting the classic gold red and blue outfit.
I absolutely love this one they were able to take the classic idea and make me believe that it could indeed fit the Greeco-Roman setting.
Something we've seen before in the comics but still amazing to see in real life.
We've got the Eagle, the W all with strong lines that flow in and out of one another.
We've got the silver lasso(which I assume will glow golden when used).
The skirt while looking Spartan like also looks like the original short pants.
And let's not forget the bracelets which look just how they should.

I love the boots and the kneeguards, reminds me of Leonidas whooping Persian ass and it almost looks like wings on the side of her legs(something Hermes gave her?).
I had a problem with the wedges because I was worried about the action scenes until I remember that Faora had them as well and still kicked ass.

A sword of course, not afraid that they're sticking with the fact that she comes from a different time and world.

4th Comes the King of the Seas - Aquaman

Let's start at the top

A stern look, something one would expect from Arthur, for he is a king that is not afraid to get his hands dirty and do his duty for the people of Atlantis.

His appearance gives me the idea that we'll be getting a JLU, Peter David Aquaman but also a Geoff Johns based one, just because of that cold and stern look.
Instead of an all blonde hair, it looks almost sunbleached, with Momoa's brown hair in there.

Here we've got his trident, one of the most powerful weapons in the world, usually giving him a variety of powers alongside his super strength, ability to control aquatic and non-aquatic beings...
As one can see it's got this platinum solverish colour I believe that very much like the Lasso of Truth it'll glow gold when being used to it's full extent, other than that it looks just like what we've seen in the comics.

Here we've got the green pants with the golden A and some armour very akin to the JLU, Peter David run.
It reminds one of Retiarius gladiator armour, which would base their armour around the idea of a fisherman as a way to show respect to Poseidon and acquire his grace.

Along with that we've also got the idea to insert Momoa's shark teeth tattoos unto the armour, this tattoo symbolises power and strength in Maori culture seeing as the Great White is seen as the King of the Seas. We've also got scales reminiscent to the the most known costume.

Here we've got the Maori tattoos, I like this addition, since it has more to the whole Atlantis lore along with Momoa's lore.

5th Comes the Man With Iron Fists - Cyborg

Here we've got Vic Stone, not much to say here except for...

...step your game up Marvel, you just got destroyed.

So there's that guys, hope you enjoyed it.
Please discuss it in the comment section.

Yeah they really are.
It's incredible that they've been able to basically keep everything underwraps when compared to other big productions.

Can't wait for Mad Max and I was already excited to see that before I knew the trailer was coming out with it.

I bet official posters and promotional material always look like crap for almost every movie and undersells them, these marketing companies suck.
Especially compared to some "amateur" stuff you see online.
Sometimes they just Photoshop the same head pose or arm pose into different posters as if no one would notice.

Even with Wonder Woman, these four characters certainly makes it seem like the DC Universe is an "old man's game" so far. Superman is obviously older than 33 now, Batman seems to be in his 40s, Aquaman could very well be in between that age difference and Wonder Woman is most likely immortal anyways, so I hope Cyborg is the beginning of introducing "young pups" into the team, as well as Ezra's The Flash.

Superman's "new" suit, although I doubt we'll see him donning an actual new suit in BvS, definitely feels like a more "alien" suit, if that makes sense. Look at the Kryptonian symbols on the 'belt' area now as well as the more sprawled out designs on the wristbands and torso/thigh area. While MoS introduced a more kingdom/Medieval-like look with their suits and armor, BvS seems to really focus on making Superman's costume look like an alien when it seems like the film will also explore more of Superman's humanity as well(so I hope the two themes are portrayed properly in the film).

I never minded the idea of Batman being older in this film. I always had the idea anyways that to be a master of over 120 martial arts and to be the world's greatest detective, it would take years even as Batman and not just Bruce training to be Batman, so just showing a seasoned Batman is the better idea. It's like the Arkham games...it feels so believable that Batman is such a badass while in Arkham Origins, it felt odd that Batman was still that badass and yet only being in "the game" for just two years without showing any flaws(except for knocking people out when he isn't meant to). And the suit is perfection, imo. Will go down as one of the best costumes coming to life.

And both Wonder Woman and Aquaman's suits feel natural for who they are. They are both warriors, one from the Amazons and one from the Atlanteans; to give any of these two anything other than the costumes we're getting would be ridiculous. They need to look like warriors first and foremost imo, and they've succeeded.

Right on the money brother.
I have to agree with everything you said.

Are you gonna be going to Mad Max to catch the trailer on the big screen?

MisterSuperior
MisterSuperior - 4/8/2015, 5:58 PM
@CIAGuy

Going to Mad Max just to see the film, but the trailer is definitely a nice little extra something for my money's worth.

What do you think about my theory though? Of Superman's "new" costume being a reflection on BvS possibly portraying Superman as an "alien" in the perspective of the way certain people view him, such as Lex Luthor(from what we've heard from Zack Snyder) as well as Superman facing the very human Batman? As well as BvS should also be focusing on Superman's humanity as well and really showing why Superman does what he does(since MoS didn't really focus much on those ideals since the film focused on the literal/figurative birth of Superman)?

@MisterSuperior

Mad Max is the movie I'm the most excited for this year, seeing George Miller back on the helm of his franchise is amazing.

But moving along, yeah funny enough I do believe that that's gonna be a main point that'll be addressed in the movie.

MoS put the building blocks there but at the same time dealt with the idea of birth and a child two worlds(two parents) while juggling a lot of other interesting stuff.
While Zod challenged his alien side bringing up questions like.
"Are you one of us or one of them?"

"Are you human or kryptonian?"

"Nature or nurture?"(with the answer for Zod and his army being nature, even though in his heart Zod envied Kal)

I'm assuming these questions will be brought up once again, as seen by the set pics that show a statue on one side and people asking for basically a lynching of Superman on the other.

I believe Batman(being analytical as he is) will at first be on the front that indeed kryptonians are dangerous no matter what, but as he learns more about not Kal-El but Clark Kent he'll realise that he is nothing more than a MAN seeking his same ideals, finally learning to reconcile the idea of a man of two worlds.

Lex will probably be on the polar opposite of Zod but at the same time almost a mirror of the General, in that he answer for Kal to answer if he's either human or kryptonian, but he's not willing to accept any answer.

I'm pretty sure this will be a more mature Superman, but I've got a feeling that we'll see him grow more and more with each movie.

"Mad Max is the movie I'm the most excited for this year, seeing George Miller back on the helm of his franchise is amazing."

Well, Age of Ultron is definitely my most anticipated film this year, but Fury Road is definitely my second most anticipated film. I really hope Fury Road ends up being a hit too as I heard Miller already has an idea for an entire trilogy and would love to see Tom Hardy in that role for the future.

"I'm pretty sure this will be a more mature Superman, but I've got a feeling that we'll see him grow more and more with each movie."

I think this is a tagline of sorts to represent Superman in the DCCU, to portray him as he develops from someone who not everyone can trust to someone that everyone will walk behind in as a beacon of hope to tie into Jor-El's speech to him in MoS, but most definitely that the first film had the building blocks and asked these questions but not really answering them. I got what MoS was supposed to be, and now Snyder has to answer the question on whether he can answer these questions or just make a complete failure ala The Amazing Spider-Man 2 where Marc Webb did simply nothing after creating his own building blocks in The Amazing Spider-Man. Which, as much as I didn't enjoy TAS-M 1, it was a smart idea of just asking these questions and placing those building blocks to build up the character of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. But Webb didn't create a natural progression and didn't rectify the first film's many problems in the sequel. While I didn't find a lot of problems with MoS, Snyder still has to accomplish what Webb could not with Spidey.
Cruel
Cruel - 4/8/2015, 8:56 PM
@MisterSuperior

I wouldn't blame Webb.
I feel like it was a case of too many hands on deck with Sony.

While with DC I feel like WB trusts Snyder's vision.
Just like they trusted Nolan's.
MisterSuperior
MisterSuperior - 4/9/2015, 11:16 AM
@CIAGuy

We really don't know what is Snyder's vision, though. We've heard it, but have we really seen it especially when it was Goyer and Nolan that were more behind MoS's creation?

I think BvS will be that film to show us what is Snyder's vision, especially when Goyer seems to be totally out and Nolan only seems to be an executive producer, but MoS isn't something I can say was Snyder's whole vision.

And with Webb, he gets the blame of being a "Yes Man" director. Since the first film, he seemed to be someone that just took orders and commands from Sony; it's not a coincidence that it was mostly Arad and Tolmach that did interviews regarding their new Spider-Man universe that would have started with TAS-M 1. At least in MoS, however, it was still Snyder front and center answering questions, even though I still feel like BvS will be Snyder's chance to really SHOW his vision of the DCCU as I think between MoS and BvS, Snyder became DC's Kevin Feige.
