Early BATMAN v SUPERMAN And JUSTICE LEAGUE Concept Art Reveals Alternate Designs For Flash, Cyborg, And More

Both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League could have ended up being very different movies compared to what we ended up getting, something which is emphasised by this new concept art...

Talking about Batman v Superman and Justice League's production woes behind the scenes seems redundant at this stage but going back to long before Zack Snyder found himself clashing with studio bosses, concept art was obviously created to dream up some ideas for how the heroes would look.

In this latest batch from artist Jerad S.Marantz, we see a very different - and far more comic accurate - take on the Fastest Man Alive as well as some crazy new takes on Cyborg and the evil Steppenwolf.

When it comes to the Flash, it's definitely a shame Snyder decided not to take the hero down this route because it would have been a lot more satisfying than seeing the suit Ezra Miller's Barry Allen dons in the movie. Ryan Gosling as the Flash? It very nearly happened by the looks of it (at least in this concept artist's imagination). That casting would have made a lot of fans very happy as would this suit which looks considerably better than the cobbled together version worn by Barry Allen in these DC Comics films.

Another early render for Flash in Batman v Superman, an argument could be made that this is how the Scarlet Speedster should actually look on the big screen. With any luck, Barry Allen will have been given a new suit by Bruce Wayne by the time his solo movie arrives because he desperately needs it.

In that deleted scene from Batman v Superman that was later released online, we got to see Steppenwolf's ominous silhouette but who would have guessed he'd end up looking so...terrible? Regardless, this version of the Justice League baddie is definitely better but too expensive to create.

Zack Snyder made the decision to make Cyborg an entirely CGI character (apart from his face) and this concept art shows just how intricate the hero's suit could have ended up being. What we got ended up looking pretty good but a lot of fans were disappointed by the quality of the special effects used.

This is pretty crazy but could have been what we ended up seeing in the movie, especially as we know that there's at least one deleted scene featuring Cyborg covering his face with a mask. Unfortunately, the version ofJustice League we got failed to really explore Victor Stone's many awesome abilities.
