Has Zack Snyder Already Agreed To Direct JUSTICE LEAGUE?

Another day, another Justice League rumor -- but this one stems from a direct quote from Gangster Squad director Ruben Fleischer, who seems to think Man Of Steel helmer already has the gig! Read on for details.

Gangster Squad director Ruben Fleischer may have just outed his pal Zack Snyder as the man who will step behind the camera to bring us DC's superhero team up flick, Justice League. Fleischer was rumored to be in the running some time agao, so Screen Crush decided to ask him about it when they spoke to him while he was out doing the rounds to promote the home release of Gangster Squad, and here's an excerpt from their report.

"We asked if he was still interested in directing ‘Justice League’ after his name was on the shortlist of directors last year. He said he’s definitely interested in directing a big superhero film but it wasn’t going to be ‘Justice League.’ And why not? Says Fleischer:

"Well that’s something that Zack Snyder is going to wind up doing."

Now he may just be referring to the previous rumor that linked Snyder to the job, or it might be an assumption based on the massive business Man Of Steel is sure to do, but keep in mind that Fleischer worked with Will Beal -- the man who delivered a draft of the Justice League script -- on Gangster Squad so there’s a good chance he's privy to some inside information. Also, I can't imagine Fleisher commenting on this now based on a rumor he read online ages ago, so I think there might just be some truth to this. Of course even if there is it's unlikely anything will be confirmed anytime soon, but we shall see.

I think he means that with Snyder's talent (and him already starting the series with MOS), it seems likely that Snyder will end up directing Justice League.

Honestly, I want to see how MOS turns out before I decide if I'm happy with this choice (if it's even true). But, if Zach does get the gig, we can expect to see some awesome visuals.

Considering Superman Returns only broke even, Watchmen underperformed and Sucker Punch bombed ill take this with a grain of salt. I'm sure WB is waiting to see what MOS does first. To me MOS looks like more rehashing and very slow like "Returns". It better have good critical buzz before release.

I'd be okay with this if MOS is good. Zack Snyder is a big comic book fan, maybe DC have found their true Joss Whedon

The 3 hour director cut of Watchmen was actually amazing and made me forget how disappointed the original cut made me feel.

Can we have one article without the Mandarin being mentioned. Especially on DC articles. Jeez the twist sucks but it can be lived with.

Regarding the actual article, I have been watching the cartoon on Netflix and playing Injustice. It is really a shame that no JLA movie has happened yet. I hope MOS kicks off everything.

WATCHMEN is epic. Source material accurate utopia. Squid would have put it over the top. Sick costumes too. If it's a flop, I'll take my flops like THAT.

I feel that Snyder and Nolan's hands on Man of Steel was the worst idea imaginable. But I still planned on seeing it. The more shots I see make me really reconsider it. Man of Steel will be a successful film, but that's it. It will not be a good Superman film.
