HBO Max Releases Epic "Trilogy Trailer" For MAN OF STEEL, BATMAN V SUPERMAN, And ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE

Zack Snyder's Justice League is now streaming on HBO Max, and the streaming service has released a new trailer comprised of footage from that, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice...

Love it or hate it, Zack Snyder's Justice League is now streaming on HBO Max.

We never thought Warner Bros. would #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, but it finally happened, and many fans are now hoping that the studio decides to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse. That feels like wishful thinking, especially as WB is clearly keen to move on from the filmmaker's vision for the DCEU.

Despite that, HBO Max has just released a new trilogy trailer for the Snyder Cut of Justice League.

Mostly comprised of footage from Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it takes a deep dive into the stories of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. As a brief description teases, "Their time spent in hiding is over. Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) must stand together to save the world."

Of course, while HBO Max may be billing this as a trilogy, we know that Snyder actually had a five-movie "trilogy" planned which would have included of two more Justice League sequels. There's no clear sign that will happen, though the filmmaker is open to a comic book sequel of some sort

Regardless, this is a really cool trailer which highlights some great moments from these movies (even if you weren't a fan, there's no denying that the visuals here are terrific).

Three movies in which "Superman" almost never acts like Superman and spends 99% of his time moping because being invincible and banging Amy Adams is such a downer. 😑

He's basically a supporting character in "his" 2nd movie and has about 15 minutes of screentime in the last movie in his "trilogy", half of which he's evil.

They really nailed the character there, huh? Smh

@Feralwookiee - "no but you don't get it, he would have become the superman from the comics in future movies, sure he would have been evil and under darkseid's control for most of them but that doesn't count"
-Some snyder fan, probably

@roboticJohnson - Exactly. Lol

It'd be like having Cap sulking around in TFA, then dying in Winter Solider, then coming back for an cameo, as an evil guy, then he's good for 5 minutes in Civil War.

What a waste of a character and a waste of time.

@Feralwookiee - Never let Snyder trick you into believing he loves Superman. The exact opposite is true.

@Feralwookiee - I said it before.

I'm pretty sure Snyder hates Superman.

He thinks all superheroes should be like Watchmen.

So many actors right for their roles bu given shit to work with and not allowed to actually play the characters

@Battabing - yeah she did, but not in any of Zacks movies. He made her a murderous psycho who collects human heads as trophies. Jenkins got her right though

Given how long and how many plots it contains, I think they should just recut this into a mini-series

I just finally watched the Army of the Dead trailer. That's a movie that looks quite entertaining, and like a potential fresh start regarding Zack Snyder for movie fans not on board with the whole Snyderverse movement. So to all the tired Snyder/DCEU stuff...

Still the best CMB trailer of all time, IMO. Hype-levels: Yes.

@Godzillakartt - I think that's where Synder's film school training comes in: he's a visual master at marketing movies. 300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch teasers... all looked and sounded mindblowing.

IMO, Synder is like the Tarsem Singh of CBMs. He has a distinct style and goes for it.

@Godzillakartt - Yeah same, when I saw this trailer it was giving me Batman Begins vibes.. a whole new modern vision for an iconic character. The start of a new chapter in the mythos. Shame the film didn't repeat what Batman Begins did for me. It's a mixed bag.

They both went to the same film school, graduated together, and were in one another's student films

@HubbleFunk - Same. Ironically, in early 2011 the hype train was ramping up for 'Rises' with Tom Hardy & Anne Hathaway just cast, filming soon to begin.

Same month, Synder was announced as the director of 'Man of Steel.' It was not a good feeling. Maybe WB felt they could rein in his quirks by having Nolan produce, but at the time, I juts couldn't believe WB handed such a monumental franchise into the hands of the wrong guy for it

@GothamSon - Its a great trailer but for me the best Superman trailer for another disappointing film is this one. I still get chills from this teaser.

@GothamSon - 100% agreed.

I like his films visuals. Look at 300 and watchmen. Beautiful.

Just don't let the man anywhere near a script.

@Godzillakartt - agreed, I thought it was going to put Superman back on the map his popularity would sky rocket even higher than before. And while I enjoyed Man of Steel, it wasn’t the dream movie I was hoping for.

How about Man of Steel, Man of Steel 2, Man of Steel 3......

He was killed way too soon. Wasn’t around long enough for anyone to truly care, especially after destroying half of Metropolis in MOS. None of these movies were done correctly.

Amazing Trilogy. By the end Superman no longer wears his blue/red suit and just wears a black suit. He also becomes Hitler when Lois dies. So inspiring.
