Coming off the news that Christian Bale may reprise his role as Batman in the new Justice League movie, the internet is a buzz and fans are excited to hear Bruce Wayne may actually be Batman in another Warner Bros./DC movie. News that Christopher Nolan is now over everything DC at Warner Bros and how Man of Steel has gotten positive reactions from screenings from execs and invited guests, it's no surprise that they are now going to take Batman and the Justice League mythos seriously by having Christopher Nolan and Zack Synder sign up as producers as well as Zack Synder directing.

What I'm hearing is that Zack Synder's Man of Steel is a movie of Epic proportions and if that is true, then it is a no brainer to have Zack Synder direct a Justice League movie of Epic proportions. Zack Synder is a great director that brings great visuals, powerful imagery and unrelenting passion to his films. Having Christopher Nolan bring the depth to these DC characters will make Justice League great. I heard that David Goyer will pen the sequel to Man of Steel. He needs to help out with Justice League, they need all the help they can get.I don't doubt that they would want some input fron him for the new Justice League movie.

All that being said, How would this play out? Will the sequel to Man of Steel come out first? Will individual DC character movies be released in the form of Wonder Woman, the Flash, and Green Lantern 2 in 2014? They already have a Flash script which they say is great. I personally think that they should. Get a script together and get on the ball.Since I hear Man of Steel has great story and alot of action, let the new Superman movie be the standard bearer of all the DC movies, having great story and alot of action. Make the new DC character movies Origin stories with alot of action. Let Green lantern 2 have great action and epic visuals. Set a standard for the people and yourselves So you will know what to achieve when you go into productions on these DC properties.

Now on to the focal point of the story, Batman. With or without the individual DC movies, this is how I feel Justice League should go. Green lantern is briefed about a force that is coming to earth by the Green Lantern Corps. The warning is great and GL goes to earth to tell Superman. Wonder Woman is told about it as well. Scientists talk about things changing in the atmosphere and that something big is coming to earth. The people of earth are in a hysteria.Flash hears about it too through news reports. Since he knows Superman is a big deal he runs to Metropolis to talk to him about it, to see what he thinks. Superman tells him he doesn't know, "But I may need your help." Green Lantern gives the Justice League the majority of the news about the on coming invasion and that it is Darkseid.Bruce Wayne watches the news reports from an undisclosed location. Bruce Wayne has been in shape for the past few years actually having a state-of-the art gym where he resides. Alfred is sick and Bruce Wayne takes care of him. He hasn't told Alfred that he wants to go back to the cowl, but Alfred has been knowing him since he was a boy and you can't fool him.Alfred knows he can't stop him from being a man. Alfred gives him his blessing and tells him he will be with him in spirit.

Bruce Wayne puts on a disguise and gets a fake passport and goes back to Gotham city. John Blake is in the Bat Cave looking at a big computer screen. Blake has redecorated the place with tech and computer gadgets getting himself ready to don the mask. Despite his hard training and planning, he still doesn't have the gall to put on the cowl. Bruce Wayne enters the Bat Cave in a secret entrance. John Blake hears something and sees the intruder and attacks him, Bruce takes him down and his face is shown in a light creeping in the cave. John Blake: "Bruce?! How?! How?! You are dead!" Bruce sits him down and tells him the whole story. John is shocked, mad, and then relieved. Bruce compliments John on what he has done with the place and says "I need a partner." John Blake says "I'm here."One by one fleets of Darkseid's armada hover over the major cities of the Justice League characters because of the powerful force Darkseid feels he is getting from them because they reside in them, and he wants the challenge.

Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and the Green Lantern are about to attack Darkseid's armada. When the Batwing flies around them and hovers over them. Flash says "it's the Batman! Green lantern says"I thought he was dead." Wonder Woman says " We all did." Superman says"Is it him?" A window rolls down on the Bat wing to show Batman's face. A voice is heard through the speakers of the Batwing "This is the Batman!."" I will take the first flank. You can choose what you will do with the rest." They all smile and start to fight the armada. Robin(aka John Blake) is on radio comlink to Batman seeing everything on a computer screen via cameras on the front and sides of the Batwing. Being his wing man and warning him of attacks. Epic battle insues, Darkseid comes out, and Superman says"I got the Big one" there is a big epic fight. Even seeing Batman jump out of the batwing and fight the armada with skills and gadgets.

This is how I feel Justice League should go.

And when Joh Blake is ready he can join Batman on the field as Robin in the new Batman movies.

Let me know how you feel about this.

Here comes the Justice League!

You lost me once you said "Zack Snyder is a great director". No, he's a great visual director. His movies seem to have more depth (besides 300, that movie just sucked so much ass), when they're rated R and not written by him. The fact that Man of Steel is a Snyder film is very iffy for me.

Interesting topic of discussion!

Given the circumstances, I do think it will be a bit hard to pull off Batman in the Justice League. I like how you addressed John Blake's role in the story (many people seem to forget) but I respectfully disagree.

To me, John Blake already served his purpose as ROBIN in the Dark Knight Rises. Granted, he didn't don a cape and cowl, but his aiding in Batman's mission already paralleled Robin's assistance in the comics. He subtly filled the role of a sidekick.

I believe that Nolan wanted to build Blake up and develop him thoroughly throughout the film so that we can fathom him as a suitable successor to Bruce Wayne. The scene where he starts ascending in the Batcave at the end was supposed to evoke the idea of him embracing the identity - thus the "The Dark Knight Rises". To have Blake hesitant to don the cowl after the life change in the first movie and to have him go back to sidekick negates a lot of development in my opinion. It's like being back at square one.

Anyway, cool article man. Gonna come back in a bit to see what other people have to say about the discussion

I say introduce the other members first with the last film being MoS 2. That'd be what MoS,Flash,WW,GL2 (or reboot) then in MoS 2 with the after credit scene Bale/Batman watching over all the events from the previous films leading to JL Tower of Babel.I guess you prolly would have to switch Lex with Ra's since he's dead. Then they can do the Batman movie starting phase 2.Blake can be Robin, tho I'd prefer Nightwing. Then you have Lex free a now aged Joker from Arkham in MoS 3 in the after credit scene that leads to the Injustice League movie. Then you can have M.M arrive telling them about Darkseid.XD

Zack Snyder is a great director, he has made some great movies and even though sucker punch and watchmen were not a big deal in the box office, they are some great movies with a very unique style. I even think he is a better director than Whedon who just made cabin in the woods, and has he EVER been judjed for that movie????? Think about it.

That's why his movie should start phase 2.He now acknowledges the existence of other beings in the world.MoS would definitely solidify that. That would lead to the Tower of Babel.

Plus I believe it was said Bruce died in the riots.N 2 my knowledge only Gordon knew,Alfred,Blake,Catwoman & Fox.Why would they tell the world it was Bruce Wayne under the mask.Plus who's really gonna arrest him, even based in Nolans world he evaded them all the time. Now all of a sudden there gonna catch him.I don't think so.I guess it can be argued that the ppl with Fox knows since they said the last name on the Bat typed was Bruce Wayne. All in all just my opinion on how to go bout it. XD

The whole point of The Dark Knight Rises was that Bruce can't continue being Batman forever.

He's too old and his bidy has taken too much punishment. Who wants to see a half crippled Batman?

It just doesn't make sense and goes against everything that TDKR did. Even though it was a crappy movie, it was still a part of Bruce's story.

Again, it just doesn't make sense.

What I would have liked if Nolan's universe was connected to JLA would to be this:
Blake swings in and Bruce walks out of the shadows,
Blake: You're alive...
Bruce: Yeah, I've been... travelling
Blake: What do you need me for?
Bruce: There's a bigger threat, bigger than Bane, the Shadows or the Joker could ever be,
Blake, that still doesn't explain...
Bruce: I'm recruiting
Superman, Wonder-Woman, Flash and Green Lantern fly and run into the cave
Superman: I got your call,

While I love the idea of Christian Bale coming back as Batman in JLA, I keep wondering how they would do that. With the way TDKR ended, it had a happy ending. Bruce finally found a life for himself and seemed to be settling down with Selina Kyle. I think that ending was perfect. It tied everything together.

But now I'm wondering what kind of legit good reason would bring back that Batman and incorporate him into JLA. Maybe if Superman finds him and tells him that they need someone on the team with a lot of experience (since Batman is the veteran of the group in The New 52) to help them out on this mission, and Bruce abliges after some hard thought, that would make more sense.

But if they go that route, I'd rather see Batman show up more towards the 2nd act. Reject the offer at first, and then come in when the JLA really need him.

There are some good things about the article, one of them is NOT the idea that Batman rolls the window down on the batwing to talk to the rest of the guys. How cartoon is that? I mean really, we might as well bring back Arnold Shwarzenegger to play the village idiot again.

I would have never agreed that there should be solo fims first but then it hit me that when last we saw The Batman, he had a love interest, Catwoman. And everybody sees John Blake and Alfred as people we can't just walk away from. Same thing with Carrol Ferris. The Avengers movie held onto most of this, or at least we were aware that the heroes are connected to the world and not just rogue outcasts that have nothing to lose when they suit up.

Zach Snyder to direct Justice League, good move, and Chris Nolan to be the supreme commander of the project, absolutely. I don't see why anyone would not want a team that can make Justice League "REAL". Why do we want a movie that seems more like a Saturday morning cartoon? For all of the people that say well, Nolan's Batman doesn't fit in a world with other heroes who have super powers. I say, why not? It works just fine in comic books and that is after all what we are trying to do, put a team of comic book characters on film that are all unique in their own way. Batman has actually been a very strong member of the team and has long been considered the most dangerous because his super power is his superior intelligence.

Bale and Cavill on the same screen. Take a good look tell me you can't see the pair as good as Downey Jr, Evans and Hemsworth? Ryan Reynolds was the victim of a poorly made movie, not a bad actor, and you add him and you have major big time diversity in the cast, 3 very unique and different people. The problem is Ryan Reynolds should be the Flash not Green Lantern. He wanted that role well before there was a role to fight over and he was made for the part. How you deal with that I don't know, but I do know that someone like Josh Duhamel looks more like a Green Lantern. I could even like Ben Afleck in the role because he can be the cocky test pilot and have a little fun once in a while, and be very serious when it gets down to it. Then you need a special Wonder Woman, not the big boobed bimbos I have seem as suggestions, not people who can't act. My choice has always been Catherine Zeta Jones. She was outstanding in 2 Zorro movies and was great with a sword, tough but feminine, and she can act. We need a Martian Manhunter, and we go 2 people, one to play him when he is John Jones the human, and in his Martian form we skip CGI and go real with the one man who looks like the Manhunter and that is Vin Deisel. Aquaman; why not put Paul Walker in the gym and make him look the part. He can act and he could work in a make it real world. Actually, lets steal Chris Hemsworth away from Marvel to do this part. Ok, that wouldn't happen anyway.

Darkseid sounds great as a villain, but not right off the block. You do this and you have too much on your plate right off, just like it turned out in Green Lantern. It still has to be a situation where it is more than just a street fight between 2 gangs, heroes and villains. To make it real there has to be a serious threat to millions of people and death has to be a factor.

Realistically, to get there we need Superman 2, Flash 1, Wonder Woman 1, Green lantern 2, and Green Lantern works as a reboot and we move Ryan Reynolds where he needs to be. And we introduce The Manhunter and Aquaman in the other films and do cameo sneaking around by the Bat in the other movies, like he is watching them, studying them before making contact in the JLA movie.
