Yesterday's teaser for Sunday's full Zack Snyder's Justice League trailer gave us a look at Darkseid, but it also seemed to provide our first glimpse of the despicable Granny Goodness.
Fans have been speculating about this character's involvement in the director's cut of Justice League ever since DeSaad was confirmed to appear, and Snyder took to Vero shortly after the promo was released to make it official.
The filmmaker didn't reveal who's playing Granny, but many have pointed out that the actress looks a lot like Judi Dench (we seriously doubt it really is the legendary Dame).
In the comics, Granny Goodness rose to power as one of Darkseid's most ruthless and efficient servants, brainwashing and manipulating potential soldiers in "The Orphanage." She commanded the Female Furies, trained and raised Scott Free, aka Mister Miracle, and proved to be a formidable opponent of the League's on many occasions.
We can't see her having anything close to a substantial role in the Snyder Cut, but her addition does leave the door open for more DCEU appearances... should Warner Bros. decide to keep the "SnyderVerse" canon, that is.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for the trailer. Zack Snyder's Justice League is set to premiere on HBO Max next month.
