JUSTICE LEAGUE: Possible Details On How Darkseid Will Be Utilized In Zack Snyder's Superhero Team-Up Movie

We all figured that Justice League would at least allude to the inevitable big-screen debut of the villainous Darkseid, and now a new report indicates that the New God will actually appear in the film...

We know Darkseid won't be the big bad of Zack Snyder's Justice League (that honor goes to Steppenwolf), but it is sounding increasingly likely that the tyrannical ruler of Apokolips will be appearing in some capacity to set up his inevitable confrontation with DC's finest.

During a recent Periscope session, The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez said he'd heard that Darkseid "will be shown, but not necessarily heard". If you recall, a while back we had another rumor that the beginning of the film would recount Darkseid's defeat at the hands of a combined force of humans, Atlanteans, and Amazons, and this would certainly seem to indicate that the villainous New God will indeed show up as part of some kind of flashback.

We'll have to take this as another rumor for now, but it was always a safe bet that Darkseid would make his big-screen debut in this movie, anyway.

What do you guys think? Would you be happy with a brief cameo, or would you prefer if Darkseid was the main baddie in Justice League?

Snyder better pull through with this one. I'm not gonna keep my hopes up for much longer in the meantime.

@ThatAlexDude - True that, Darkseid needs to be done justice!

@FusionWarrior - If he changes Darkseid into remotely something like Eisenberg's Lex...

The best way to show off how amazing Darkseid is... by introducing him in a flashback/opening scene where he's quickly defeated proving that the Justice League are not needed... wait...

Seriously though, they should just have Darkseid mentioned by Steppenwolf. Dont show Darkseid if you have no Justice League 2 planned. At the moment we are'nt even sure if Justice League will be financially succesful enough to warrant a sequel...

@ThatAlexDude - I hope this isn't true. I want to see Darkseid but not like this.

The fact that he's already been defeated once by a bunch of no-name people kind of lowers his threat level by a lot.

@Scarilian - Haha. This is exactly what I was thinking.

Also, how is it not remembered by ANYONE that earth was once invaded by aliens? Unless that happened like 1,000's of years ago...

@CorndogBurglar -

If this leak (and the others) are to be believed then it implies that the Amazon's worked together with the Atlanteans and Humans... yet i'm fairly sure the entire focal point of the Wonder Woman prequel movie is explaining how Amazon's never trust humans and Wonder Woman changes that.

Like, Amazon's trust humans with a Motherbox and fight and defeat Darkseid together with them, yet they dont like it when a random civilian arrives on their island asking for help? It's a mess of contradicting continuity.

Plus i'm fairly sure Wonder Woman would know about Atlanteans and not send Bruce to go and talk to Aquaman if the Amazon's had previously allied with the Atlanteans to defeat Darkseid.
