JUSTICE LEAGUE's Original After-Credits Scene Reportedly Featured These Two Members Of The Green Lantern Corps

Justice League featured two after-credits scenes but one of them could have been a whole lot different had it not been cut fairly early on. Hit the jump to find out what it would have entailed...

We know better than to trust Reddit but an unnamed VFX artist has recently started sharing details about Justice League on the site and their identity has been verified by a number of sources (including the site's moderators). As well as detailing scenes which were left unfinished, "LDN_Film" has revealed that the movie originally had a post-credits scene featuring two members of the Green Lantern Corps.

This lines up with reports from a couple of years ago which said the movie would end with the outer space police corps warning the Justice League about an impending attack from Darkseid's forces.

Apparently, this scene would have shown Kilowog and Tomar-Re visiting Bruce Wayne at his lake house near Wayne Manor. This was reportedly shot during principal photography but ended up being scrapped fairly early on and replaced with the scene which ended up in
theaters. Why would they have tracked down the Batman? We don't know but it probably had something to do with Hal Jordan!

What do you guys think of this alternate after-credits scene for Justice League? Do you think it would have been a good introduction for the Green Lantern Corps? Share your thoughts in the usual place!

The AMA I saw said that the plates were shot. I'm not sure they ever even filmed Bruce Wayne's side of the conversation.

@Spock0Clock - I liked Justice League quite a bit. I found the post-credits scene underwhelming (not surprised to see Luther, not excited by the Deathstroke reveal). But featuring the lanterns would have been a huge waste of CGI money. Any look they give those characters either constrains or will be ignored by whoever directs the Green Lantern Corps movie, which is years away. The last thing we need is more dodgy looking GL CGI.

@AHRNihal - To give him a ring to make him useful for the team again?

@Kyos - If there was a ring for fangirling,it would work.

@AHRNihal - because they found out Amanda Waller gave him a file with their names and pictures in the after credit scene of Suicide Squad (that went nowhere) and they wanted to get it back.

Seems strange that they'd contact Bruce instead of Hal doing it himself, assuming he was GL by that point, but it would have been cool to see nonetheless.

@Tensorpants - that AMA is actually really enlightening and totally legit. It should probably be talked about.

Why would they visitor Bruce of all people?

I think something along the lines of this would've been more appropriate:

*Assuming Hal is GL already

Tomar-Re and Kilowog are having a conversation with a ﹰGuardian about the importance Sector 2814. Recent events have only reinforced the significance of the sector. Kilowog suggests that the rookie may finally be ready to put in the work and take his post...

We then see some shot of Jordan policing an alien world as a part of his training

That would make no sense.
