Throne of Atlantis — to be released early next year on DVD, Blu-ray and for digital download and on demand — adapts a comic arc that pits the undersea nation of Atlantis against the surface world. Unlike the comic, the movie will focus on how young Arthur Curry discovers his aquatic heritage. Raised by his human father, when the movie begins he doesn't know that he is the heir to the throne of the watery kingdom.

Aquaman will be voiced by 90210's Matt Lanter, and he'll be joined by many of the Justice League: War cast including Jason O'Mara (Batman), Shemar Moore (Cyborg), Christopher Gorham (the Flash), Sean Astin (Shazam). Plus, Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern), Rosario Dawson (Wonder Woman), Jerry O'Connell (Superman), Sam Witwer (Orm), and Sumalee Montano (Meera).

@davinci31, it's essentially a direct sequel to JL:War, so don't get those hopes too high.
I enjoyed JL:War, so I'll likely be enjoying this. I actually just watched this preview last night, looks like it has potential.

I found JLW horrible though this may be good if they replace most of the voice actors and actually write some of the characters (e.g. WW, Superman, GL) well.

I have real high hopes for this film, Batman Arkham Assault was a great animated movie in my opinion especially after the let downs of the previous two dc animated movies.

Didn't even finish watching Justice League: War or Son of Batman. This has been said a billion times already, but the quality of these new line-up of connected movies has been disappointing. However, I'm really anticipating the return of Bruce Timm.

WAR wasn't great. The story was very thin, and I couldn't care for most of the action because they made me actively dislike most of the JL members. So yeah, I hope this'll be better.

Has potential to be good. I hope it is, mostly because Aquaman deserves a great film (Animated or not). Though wouldn't be close to surprised if it's as horrible as the abysmal JL: WAR.

Still irks me Cyborg is on the team. Bleh.

From what I've read on the Throne of Atlantis story arc, it's really not. It should prove to be more of an Aquaman film; which could be great, given that there has been such a healthy amount of positive feedback on what the New 52 has done for the character. The only real downside, however, is that most of the voice actors from JL: War, will be returning for this film, as well.

Gotta love the little weasels that will knock Marvel for their low brow humor or humor in general (and no, I'm not saying I like those things, Marve's humor really irritates me ([frick]ing Thor 2)) and then gush over JLW because it's DC. HA!

I liked Justice league war a lot. I loved assault on arkham. DC's animation is on fire lately. Can't wait to see this one.
