More From Zack Snyder On JUSTICE LEAGUE And Superman's Role In The Team

The Man of Steel director discusses how his Superman reboot will affect the role of the iconic hero in the planned Justice League movie and once again seems to say that he would indeed be interested in helming Warner Bros.' and DC's superhero ensemble.

"The truth is that we really want to make sure that Superman is working," Zack Snyder replied when asked in the below video interview if he is interested in helming a Justice League movie for Warner Bros. and DC. "You can’t make a Justice League movie without Superman at the top, at the helm of the Justice League." It almost sounds as if Snyder believes that Superman should be the one leading the team, but regardless of whether or not you agree with that sentiment, there's no denying that the character is vital in a film such as this. However, when asked directly if he would like to be the one to take control of the superhero team on the big screen, Syder said: "Listen, I’m super-excited about the world that we created for Superman, and it’s been great fun. And it’s certainly something that I would be happy to talk about if people were interested in seeing more Superman." What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Superman has to be the leader. Batman can be the strategist but Superman MUST be the leader.

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Martian Manhunter is all you need.

Darkseid for villain.

Get Snyder, Goyer, Timm, Johns and Dini in one room and have them write the movie.

I think some of these Superman stories are getting pretty redundant
No offense
I want JL and MOS2 as much as the next guy

Superman is the emotional and moral leader. Batman has to be the second one in command who willingly gives in to Superman because he feels his way is better. IMO if you don't portray their relationship correctly it won't work.

@Levi: Snyder could produce but keep him far away from directing and farther from writing. Have you not seen Suckerpunch?

Sure Dini said no to writing Justice League but at the same time he's been putting out shit like Hulk's Agent of Smash and Ultimate Spider-Man.

Throw a shit ton of money at Dini and he will agree.

Snyder has to be involved. He's the [frick]ing director.

Lock him, Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Geoff Johns, and Goyer in a room and you got a hit.

[frick] Aquaman. If the team is out of breath, they will drink Gatorade instead of water.

You need Flash in it. Flash is a great character and it's highly unlikely we will ever see a Quicksilver film due to lack of villains he has and lack of character really.

Supes and Bats are two sides of the "leader" coin when it comes to JL. Superman is the public face and inspiration, Batman is the tactician and motivator.

I tried to think of a way to fit in Fate in mine story but I got nothing. I do have references towards Zatana and will include her in a sequel to mine.

@Levi: No one ever said Snyder as director. As I said, have him produce. Keep him away from the directors chair and farther from writing. I don't trust him. Still thinking of seeing Man of Steel though.

Here's my team roster for a debut, Justice League movie

Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
The Flash
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan, John Stewart. You pick)
and Martian Manhunter to be introduced in the movie cause of White Martians (use ALL of their abilities, get everyone involved in it) in the movie.

@TheGreenSpeedster: Yes, I have. I love it and think its brilliant but it's one of two Zack Snyder movies that I consider good and that I like.
LEVITIKUZ
LEVITIKUZ - 6/10/2013, 5:42 PM
Understandable CaptainObvious but when Aquaman is in the heart of a city, let's say a place like Times Square New York, facing off against Darkseid I don't think water or sharks will help him there.

No! AQUAMAN has to be In it. He is just as important to the team then flash in The new 52. Plus he and WONDER WOMAN would have great chemistry in the movie being kings/queens and warriors and such. And isn't he in you JL script?

Zack Snyder is the best CBM director ever in a way that he literally brings the comics off the books to life. While he may not have a "hit" CBM, all he's directed so far is 300 & Watchmen. Snyder is able to bring scenes and characters to life off the comics. Not many CBM directors get the praise from the fanboys as Snyder because he is a fanboy.

Joss is good but all he's done is one CBM. IMO I don't have him all that high on my best CBM director list YET because I want to see if lighting can strike twice with him. Man of Steel will be Snyder's 3 CBM.

Superman should be the "heart" of the team. He should inspire when everyone has given up. Batman should be the leader who makes the hard decisions.

Yes but I rather have J'onn in it if I'm not writing than Aquaman. Introducing 7 characters is hard. 6 isn't that bad but I just want to see J'onn.

It's funny you should post that. Flash is probably the MAIN character overall in my JL story and Brainiac is the villain.

Superman is the leader, the emotional and moral balance of the team.

Batman is the background man, it's not his job to lead, his job is to get the team through a mission alive (strategically speaking)

But Supes is the leader.

Aquaman could just flood the whole damn city if he wanted too! Lol but seriously, that's one thing people tend to forget. When aquaman isn't in waterr, he still contain all of his attributes. He is a warrior. He is a fighter. He would do fine. All of his strength and attributes doesnt come from water although he is greatly enhanced.

I kinda feel sorry for Snyder. All he wants to do is talk about his new movie, and all anyone can do is talk about a movie that doesn't even exist in any shape or

That being said. Yes, Aquaman is in.
