New Report Claims Warner Bros. Are Still Developing A LEGION OF SUPERHEROES Movie
We heard last year that Warner Bros. were putting a Legion of Superheroes movie into development, but we've heard nothing concrete since. A new report has reiterated that, and we may also have some spoilery Suicide Squad details too...don't get your hopes up for costumes!
Last September, Latino-Review reported that Warner Bros. were developing a movie featuring the Legion of Superheroes. There's obviously plenty of room within the studio's current DC Comics slate to squeeze in a few more movies, and now Bleeding Cool has run their own report in which they claim to have heard that, "after the success of Guardians Of The Galaxy, is a Legion Of Superheroes film, being pushed through with an Avengers-Meets-Guardians tag." The plan is for it to be set in the far future with "a massive cast of superheroic characters spread out across a galaxy. And the tone is intended to be lighter than other DC superhero movies." It doesn't have a green light as of yet however. Also mentioned is the fact that they were one of the first sites to mention plans for a Suicide Squad movie, and that while the script has since been rewritten, "they’re still keeping the codenames-as-callsigns-no-costumes aspect though." The codenames thing makes sense, but NO costumes? Something tells me that won't sit well with some...
