RUMOR: Has Joss Whedon Cut Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor From JUSTICE LEAGUE?
After a press release confirmed Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor for November's Justice League movie, a new rumor purports that he's been cut- presumably under Joss Whedon's new direction for the film.
Last December, a press release from Warner Bros. confirmed that Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor would be returning for Justice League, in some form or fashion. This came after Eisenberg himself confirmed that he would be shooting scenes for the film last August.
However, a new rumor from BOF [via Batman-News] states that he's been cut from the film. Of course, this rumor comes in the wake of several reports that Joss Whedon is making sweeping changes to Zack Snyder's original vision, even going so far as to change the ending.
Stay tuned to CBM for any additional information from the Trades or WB itself as they'll likely be a follow up report confirming or debunking the rumor. Were you looking forward to seeing how prison life changes Lex or does the news of his potential exclusion actually increase your optimism about Whedon's "unification of the seven six"?
