Earlier today, the above image surfaced, appearing to show a new JLA cartoon in development. It was widely assumed that this new animated show was going to debut on WB's channel Cartoon Network. Well, the people over at Nerdist.com may have found out what channel it will actually  air on, along with the apparent title.

According to their unamed sources close to WB, the show will actually be title Justice League: Action (JLA for sort).  Not only that, they go on to state that it is being rumored to air on WB's other cartoon channel....Boomerang. This may very well be true since several of the other upcoming cartoon posters pictured will be airing on Boomerang as well (Wabbit, Be Cool Scooby Do, and Bunnicula). They do also state that these should be considered rumors for now, and even if true, could be subject to change at anytime.

How do you feel about a new JLA cartoon? Do you like the title Justice League: Action? Would you perfer the show to air on Cartoon Network as opposed to Boomerang? Talk about it in the usual place.

@SonofBatman - My six yr old daughter and I both really love TTG, although I will agree, one show like that is enough.

would love to see a new Justice League animated series, it will be like 10 years since the original ended. hopefully this could be the start of a new DCAU, develop it as the DC Extended Universe begins to develop...you know like Avengers Assemble...but you know...good

I love how we had an ongoing amazing DCAU for like 15 years, with Batman, Superman, Justice League and Static Shock. we need this again

Justice League: Action??? Sounds corny and not like my kind of jla cartton. Sounds aimed towards ONLY kids and there's nothing wrong with that but it's not for me. Was hoping for something more in the middle...kids and adults

@ComicsBornAndBred

Chill out, we don't know yet. It could still be enjoyable for both kids/teens and adults.

@Melkaticox - lol, and I knew that too....oh well, I fixed it.

@ManCalledSting - I fixed "posters" and "Be Cool..." was there anything else you noticed? Funny thing...most of the errors I spot on this site are in Wilding articles...and he doesnt even fix them, even after they are pointed out.

@ComicsBornandBred - have you gone back and watched the older cartoons you like? I have been introducing my favs to my daughter the past few years (Batman TAS, TMNT, Heman, etc...) and they were way more child oriented then I remembered.

@kdrkdr19 I'm not going nuts over it but the title suggests something a little more inane. I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm just a big cartoon guy so my passion can be a bit overzealous

@JredTheRed true somewhat but BTAS balanced the childish elements with mature storytelling very well. I wasn't too into HE-MAN or TMNT. Shows like JLU and Young Justice knew how weave mature stories into a seemingly child centric show

This gives it a better chance to live. Plus be more of an everybody show, instead of just for the kids. Now I just want to know who the cast will be and they went with Hawkman over Hawkwoman. If you look at the cast you have Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman & Martian Manhunter in the first row. Then you have I believe Zatanna, Firestorm, Flash & Huntress. Third row a Hawk and Captain Marvel.

The real question is who are the other four? I'd say one has to be a Green Lantern, but they look bigger than any of the human GLs. They could go with Kilowog though. I feel like one has to be Cyborg and Aquaman, but even they don't look like they fit. Maybe one is OMAC, that would be really cool. As much as I want one to be B'wana Beast and Plastic Man I know it will never be either one. It will be funny to see how many I get wrong. I most likely will get them all wrong other than the big three.

@BlackIceJoe

that firestorm silhouette has a very Batmand the Brave and the Bold feel to it....I really wouldnt mind if this was a continuation of that show.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: ACTION is a stupid title, IMO. However, I will watch it and give it a chance if it isn't entirely aimed at little children. I'd prefer a serious JLA series but it doesn't have to be serious to be good.

But even if it's good, I'm not getting attached to this series. Not after what happened to YOUNG JUSTICE, GREEN LANTERN TAS and BEWARE THE BATMAN.

That's just my thoughts on the project, though.
