Ryan Reynolds to Appear as Green Lantern in Justice League After All?

A new staemanet reveals that Ryan Reynolds may be in Justice League after Green Lantern sequel

Ryan Reynolds recently stated this:
“A movie like this, you can’t even really get a script when you meet with the director. You have to base your decision solely on concept art and what their objectives are,” he said. “For me, what sold me was the space epic. The idea of doing a superhero movie particularly in a summer particularly crowded with superhero films – it’s not really necessarily appealing to watch a guy earthbound. For me, it wasn’t. I love the space idea. The idea that it’s kind of like ‘Star Wars.’ I just knew that it would encompass so much ingenuity, creating a whole other world."
Then when asked on the Justice League movie answered:
"“That’s a whole other conversation. That’s a whole business model and nothing to do with me at all,” he said. “No one has ever approached me about doing a ‘Justice League’ movie. We’ll see if they do it in the long run.”

But it seems he was lying as his publisist has released a new statement that says:
"Justice League is a continuation of the Green Lantern franchise, but will not feature Green Lantern on the team until after Green Lantern's sequel."

So,what do you think of this?

when is the green lantern sequel happening and then its pretty idiotic not having snyder's superman movie's not being connected to the JLA

@Hellsing I heard that Green Lantern 2 was scheduled for 2014.
I don't get how they'd let GL in, but not Superman. (Batman I can understand, since Nolan's take on the character was very real world based.)
I honestly hope they cancel the JL movie, and never try to revive it until they decide to actually allow crossovers of previously established characters.

Two questions:
1. Does that mean the JL movie will come out after the 2nd GL film? Or
2. Does that mean the first JL movie will not have GL at all, and the second JL movie will be after GL 2?

So confusing... Why can GL be continued into JL but Superman can't?

I've got the answer for you! Chris Nolan: the man who has single handedly screwed up Batman and turned him into a "realistic" comic boom hero (I know sounds retarded) and is now producing a Superman movie that will not be included into a JL universe, just like his Batman! Anybody that still supports this Arsehole needs to f***ing wake up!

You better not be bullshitting,
Question:will the flash movie sipposedly in development be tied in to jl

I guess it makes sense why they never officially denied him for the movie but denied superman and batman

@LMFA0 Without Nolan, Batman would have still been stuck in the crapper with "Batman and Robin", and he made the 3rd highest grossing movie (and the highest comic book movie) ever...

If this is successful, I think it may be time for Gray Lensman movie.

so basically i reckon dc are gonna copy marvel, bring in the bucks for movie studios, and get there superhero team movie out there same as marvel with the avengers. get gl and supes etc out, all leading up to a jl movie. seems very likely and a no brainer...except i can't be assed with jl. AVENGERS!

I bet this whole "JL is its other universe" thing is just a cover up. DC wants to see how the fans react to Cavill and Reynolds in their roles. If the fans love them then they will definitely put them in the film since they know that'll be the best way to rake in a sh!tload of money. It's all strategy.

I guess they just want to be prepared for the worse so they have that idea sitting there just in case. I think this makes sense.

I hope this is the case.

I hope if the director chooses Ryan to play Green Lantern in the Justice League of America on the big screen teaming up with Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Arrow, Hawkman, and Aquaman, which excludes Batman and Superman from earning the sequels after wards

@arud007 With or without Nolan, WB still would've created a Batman reboot. Whether it'd good or not will never be known.

Why does of everyone have to hate the concept of Justice League movie? They are trying to steal the thunder of The Avengers, oh no. What if The Avengers movie sucks and JL rocks? Every time a new game, or cartoon or dvd comes out with comic book characters, they don't retell their origins. They often get different voice actors as well. When cameos occur, they occur because people ALREADY RECOGNIZE the character. Example, Hawkeye will be in Thor, right? Well are they gonna tell Hawkeye's entire background story or are the going to summarize completely? A lot of movies upset fans because the director tries too hard to please wide audience. Perhaps JL will be targeted to the fans that don't need someone to explain Batman's parents are dead, Superman is from Krypton, Wonder Woman is a Princess/Queen and so on.

I understand some people want a Flash movie or Cavill and Bale in the JL movie or each character to be established. For all we know the actor who plays Flash in the JL movie could steal the spotlight and pave way for that solo film. Man of Steel could bomb horribly. And some may be devoted fans of characters like Wonder Woman or Hawkman, but that doesn't mean we can market them well to an audience of all ages. **Side note: if each characters got their own solo flick and only half were good, would you be willing to wait until they got each one right, possibly decades? Daredevil is established in Marvel, should Ben Affleck appear in future Marvel movies? Movies fail, Movies succeed. Its not predetermined by some perfect formula. So until you can say the movie sucked because of blah blah's acting or that they cast the wrong person for so and so, just relax and hope for the best.
