You've got to hand it to Zack Snyder stans: they're nothing if not dedicated to their cause!
Despite Warner Bros. making it abundantly clear that there would be no return to the "Snyderverse" after the director's extended (and far superior) cut of Justice League was released last year, the fan-campaigns continued, and the recent news that James Gunn and Peter Safran would be taking over as co-heads of the newly-formed DC Studios has resulted in a renewed wave of support.
Snyder and Gunn have worked together in the past and are said to be on good terms, so is there any chance the divisive filmmaker might be given an opportunity to return to the fold?
Snyder was asked about the possibility during a video interview, and responded with the following:
"As far as I know, which is very little, I am doing my thing and haven't had anyone give me a call or anything. So I a just wishing them all the best and hoping that they make some cool movies."
Snyder's schedule is pretty chockablock at the moment, and Gunn has already clarified that he and Safran have barely begun to plan out the next phase of the DCU. So, while that call might still come at some point, we wouldn't hold our breath!
