There's been a lot of Joker discussion online over the past few weeks after rumors that Eternals actor Barry Keoghan has been cast as the iconic villain in Matt Reeves' The Batman picked up steam, and Zack Snyder appears to have used the opportunity to share a new look at Jared Leto as The Clown Prince of Crime on Vero.
The House of Gucci star played the deranged baddie in David Ayer's Suicide Squad, before reprising the role for a brief, but memorable appearance in the epilogue of Zack Snyder's Justice League. It remains to be seen if we'll ever see Leto as The Joker again, but with Warner Bros. seemingly moving away from the "Snyderverse" era of The DCEU, it's probably not very likely.
Speaking of Mr. J, there's been some speculation that the character was teased in last night's international trailer for The Batman. In one shot, photos of Bruce Wayne and his family with their eyes whitened-out can be seen in The Riddler's hideout, and some are convinced that the grinning figure lurking in the background is supposed to be The Joker.
We think it's a bit of a stretch, but take a look at the image below (via Deadline) and let us know if you can make anything out.
