A black suit for Superman in Justice League has been teased for a while now but this new piece of official movie merchandise might just confirm that we're going to see it on the big screen. SuperHeroStuff.com has listed a "Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat" by New Era and their product description - which may or may not be accurate - drops some major spoilers!
Seriously, if you don't want to know, you'd best turn away now because this is an official piece of merchandise and it's hard to imagine the site making something as specific as this up for no reason!
"Our Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat is based on Superman’s costume post-death: A black variation of the Superman suit adorned during his time in the regeneration matrix, a Kryptonian chamber that reversed the previously lethal effects of his protracted punch-em-up with Doomsday."
In the comic books, the Man of Steel returns from the dead dressed in black and Justice League composer Danny Elfman has already teased that the classic Superman theme will be used when he first meets up with the team in a "dark way" so it makes sense that the hero might be clad all in black.
The question is, who puts Superman in that Kryptonian chamber? Bruce Wayne? Steppenwolf? Lois Lane? We'll have to wait and see but feel free to share your theories in the comments section below.
