As Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige has overseen the most successful movie franchise of all time. His achievements are almost endless, and his story is one that's nothing short of fascinating (an autobiography would make for fascinating reading).
However, if a new rumour is to be believed, Feige may have aspirations that take him beyond the MCU.
According to The Hot Mic's Jeff Sneider, "I've heard the job that Kevin has always coveted is that of Alan Bergman." For those of you who aren't aware, Bergman served as the Chairman of Walt Disney Studios from 2020 to 2023, overseeing all of the company's movie and streaming arms, including Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, and 20th Century Studios.
In that role, Feige would be overseeing everything, with his fingerprints all over Disney's many franchises. This would mean taking a step back from the day-to-day running of Marvel Studios, of course, and it's hard to say who would serve as his successor there.
This is just a rumour for now and just because he supposedly wants the job, that doesn't necessarily mean he'll get it. We know Feige has a great relationship with current Disney CEO Bob Iger, and the end of the Multiverse Saga might actually be a good time for the Marvel Studios boss to bid farewell to the MCU.
Then again, we find it hard to imagine him not wanting to be in charge of the X-Men's planned debut!
We'll see what happens, but this certainly isn't the first time Feige has been rumoured to land a new job at Disney. On multiple occasions, it's been reported that he's been eyed to take over Lucasfilm in place of the divisive Kathleen Kennedy, for example.
