An expert boomerang maker has handcrafted a fully-functioning Batarang that Batman himself would no doubt be proud to wield.

Victor Poulin, from New Hampshire in the United States, created the 25-inch wide Batarang using the best 10-ply Finnish birch on the market - a type of wood considered ideal for creating high-quality boomerangs.

A Batarang is famously Batman's own lethal version of a boomerang, and has been seen in countless comic strips, films and television shows featuring the super hero.

The batarangs are available for $55 on Poulin's website boomerangsbyvic.com.

That's amazing but that thing is quite huge. Actual batarangs should be more like shiruken, I think..

Whoa, that's amazing! I've always wanted to use a real life Batarang!

Hmmm, I wonder if he scales down the model, would it lose its effectiveness... You know, it probably couldn't travel nearly as far, but I still think it would be awesome to use.
