In 1963 "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" were assembled to fight "the foes no single superhero can withstand". This team of superheroes are called The Avengers.
The Avengers, founded by Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) was originally comprised of Iron Man (Tony Stark), Ant-Man (Dr. Henry Pym), Thor, Black Panther, Hawkeye and the Hulk (Bruce Banner). Captain America joined the team after the group chipped him out of a block of ice Suffice it to say that we all have our favorite Marvel superhero and at one time or another they may have heard the cry "Avengers Assemble!".
