TOYS: Hot Toys 1/6th Scale HULK Limited Edition Collectible Figurine From THE AVENGERS

Hot Toys have unveiled their latest Avengers movie related figurine, and it's none other than the Green Goliath, mo-capped so memorably by Mark Ruffalo in the smash hit Marvel film. Click for some pics..

I have to say, I find this to be one of Hot Toys' less impressive figurines. I mean he looks cool, and is as movie-accurate as we have come to expect, but there just seems to be something missing. I know The Hulk was never going to come with too many accessories, but just some interchangeable hands? No extra head sculpts? I realize The Hulk was angry for most of the movie but there was at least one more expression they could have used! Anyway, I wouldn't be rushing out to buy this one -- even if I had the spare 200 quid lying around..

Hot Toys is proud to present the highly anticipated 1/6th scale Hulk Limited Edition Collectible Figurine from the smash hit The Avengers. The movie-accurate collectible is specially crafted based on the image of the giant green-skinned angered monster Hulk in the movie, highlighting the newly developed head sculpt with rolling eyeballs and specially sculpted muscular body.

a lot of the joints are too noticable for them to really be concerned about making the elbows seamless. but still cool none the less.

@kisama Exactly! The nailed the face, texture and body structure. Just those noticeable joints makes it seems more like an action figure, unlike the others. I wish they would've made one just for Bruce.

They did a good job with the details but I don't like the facial expression, I wish there would be more than one head. And the joints....

Unique body sculpt, Seamless arms (I thought they were fixed), Hot toys did a great job.

If this (and the rest of the Avengers) sells then expect a totally seamless "Hulk 2.0" for £/$100 more than this one...

That's why I find the Hot Toys figures for...um, shirtless characters like the Hulk (I believe there's another one for another character in the past; I can't exactly remember it, though) less impressive - yes, my main concern is the noticeable joints. The sculpting, and all, is still above the standards for regular action figures, but overall, it DOES look like any other action figures out there without anything to cover its joints.

God that Articulation is God-Awful. I think I'll stick with just buying Captain America and Agent Coulson.

Hmm not one of Hot toys better figures, and probably really over priced. I've got Iron man Mk iv and Indiana jones and the detail on them is great compared to this one.

Yep, looks like they dropped the ball on this one, and aside from the arm joints, it looks almost no different from the ones we usually see in retail stores like Target and Toys R Us. But then again, you just don't have much to work with because the Hulk is pretty much shirtless. Wish they made a Banner figure too.

This COULD have been a great piece. If they can make the elbow flexible and seamless, why can't they do it with the shoulder as well. The feet and hands could be accepted and overlooked with the seams and interchageability....but for god sakes, the main focus of the Hulk is his upper half. That single face was NOT the only one he had in the movie. This is just upsetting...However, Hot Toys is going to make their money regardless right? Want to purchase a real Hulk, then go with the Sideshow Toys Hulk Maquette....not poseable, but way better than this crap.
