Why does every Dracula story have to be almost entirely focused around Dracula's love life, particularly with Mina?

Ceejay, the novel has absolutely no romantic connection between Dracula and Mina..he wants to claim her for his own and kill her ..that's it. He's a monster through and through. It's only since the first tv adaptation and then Francis Ford Coppola's movie that he';s been made more sympathetic, and Mina made to be the reincarnation of his dead bride.

Should be an interesting series. It was created by comic book writer Cole Haddon, with Daniel Knauf, creator of HBO's Carnivale, as writer and showrunner.

I'm looking forward to it.

Just re-watched the Mission Impossible quad-trilogy. He was definitely a highlight of 3. Such good films. It's hard to have a favorite in the series.

I wasn't sure about Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula, but he looks he is owning this role.

@IM53 Same here. And there is actually a Castlevania movie in the works. I hope it turns out better than most video game movies.

@iPaul I think Sarah has the right picture. The guy in your picture looks more like Jude Law lol.

Joking aside, that looks nothing Vlad the Impaler from the pictures I've seen.

Great to see Henry 8 back in action, but the plot seems rather thin.

Luke Evans is gonna be better.

That dude can be menacing. If anyone has seen No One Lives. Pretty bad film but Evans had his moments.
