My Prom-Proposal Idea

I am a senior in high school, about to ask someone to prom, I have an idea, and would like opinions!

So this girl I've been talking to I want to ask to prom.  She really likes Superman, and as I am a "comic book nerd", I live to please.  So I came up with a plan to ask my girl to prom, and incorporate Superman.



This girl's last class she has no one else in.  It's photography, so she is basically sitting and playing on her phone.  I plan to get to her class first, and have one of my friends outside as a lookout for her.  I will be dressed in a suit and glasses, and will have my hair down.  When my friend sends me a text saying she is close, I will start the song "Waiting for Superman" play.  When she walks in, she will see me dressed as Clark Kent, and hear the song.  Then, when the line "waiting for Superman to pick her up" starts, I will unbutton the shirt to show a Superman shirt on underneigh, just like when he is midcostume change.  It is then I will say "will you go to prom with me?".

Just kidding but honestly if you want to do it then go for it I mean for most people that would take balls of steel to do and the girl may like that you're confident enough.

Though you should make sure that she is really into Superman because if she just likes Superman then she might not be down with it.

If I were to give you advice, write down how much you like her, reasons why you like her, then read it off to her. This has to be heartfelt. If she doesn't show any interest to you after that, then she isn't good for you.

But to be honest, girls now a days don't like the guy that does something heartfelt and awesome. They want the 'Bad Boy' who treats 'em like crap and sleep with their friends. They care about appearances only. if you don't have this size abs, this much cash, and this height, you aren't good enough for them. Girls are honestly more demanding then men. They don't want the personality, they want the looks.

@Pasto Thanks bro, she's a friend right now, and while I am a comic book nerd, I'm not like the "pre Spider-Man Peter Parker" nerd, I'm like the kind that everybody likes, but has some nerdy qualities to him.

I'll give you my advice as a girl.

Personally, I'd love this!!! I think that it's really cute and it's something that she will remember forever!! You just have to make sure that she REALLY loves Superman so that you won't embarass yourself :P And don't listen to the other guys, we don't just care about appearance!! If a guy did this for me, I definitely have accepted to go to prom with him :) Good luck and tell us what happened when you ask her!!!

Yeah. Ignore everything Darkphoenix just said. She is one girl out of few that would go for this. Majority of women would laugh at you mercilessly if you did this. I think it's best if you go to prom solo with some of your friends. Be like 'Wedding Crashers'. Make it a night to remember for everyone. Do crazy stuff.

Why do you have to ruin the romance Pasto?? WHY??? She may really like Superman and they may really end up going to prom together!! Don't ruin it for him, he seems to be a nice guy and I really want him to go to prom with this girl!!

@dannramm113 I think that the best thing you can do is try and you never know :) Going to the prom with a girl is much better than going with your friends! I definitely support you, I'm probably the only one around here but I think that you should at least give it a shot :D Good luck!!!!

@dougie Love is hard but you should never EVER give up!! I know how you feel right now but you have to believe that there is someone for you out there!!

You know, there is a greek myth about this which I really like. So, at first Zeus created people to have two heads, four arms and four legs. But he got afraid that they may get too powerful so he split them in two. And now everyone has his other half somewhere in the world, he just have to try to find it! I know that it may seem impossible, even stupid, but I think that we should never stop hoping!! I know that right now you'll probably say that I'm just a girl and I believe in love at first sight and true romance and blah blah blah but trust me I really don't. I just believe that we should never stop looking for our other half. The road is long and painful but the reward is the best there is!! So, please guys, don't you ever give up!!!!! :)
