Xenomorphs Will Feature In Prometheus!

Following the news of Michael Fassbender joining the project, it's now been confirmed that Giger’s famous aliens will play a prominent role in the movie after all!

Recent comments had suggested the film would depart from the mythology of the Alien franchise - however, that's not the case! According to Sky insiders:

They’ve built the 'space jockey' cockpit at Pinewood as seen in the original Alien film, so it definitely takes place in the same world as Alien... Despite that press release that seemed to indicate there were no aliens in the movie, the familiar HR Giger-style aliens do appear. Big ones apparently.


In addition, they reveal where some of the movie will be shot:

Part of the film will be shot in Morocco. I've heard that some sort of archaeological dig where they discover alien DNA takes place there and that DNA gives them the coordinates for an alien world. I've also heard Morocco is being used for alien planet landscapes so I'm not sure if it's an archaeological dig on another planet.


Prometheus, directed by Ridley Scott, hits theaters June 8th, 2012!

Yay!!! I'm excited!! And super thrilled that the director of the best film in the franchise is finally coming back! I really wanna experience earth in the Alien universe, get to explore the synthetic humanoids some more, and see the space jockeys in all their glory! I also want to see some back story to the Aliens themselves......but too much back story would ruin it, it must be done right.

Oh, and ditch the sh!tty modern "more organic" design, it sucks. Go back to the biomechanical original design, the BEST design. That is the Alien I now and love....

CDB, Scott said that it was no longer an alien prequel. They took the story in a whole new direction and came up with an original story called Prometheus. But he said there would still be "Alien DNA" in it. Apparently more than that too thank God!

sweet can't wait for this movie! they need to bring back the badassness of aliens after the horrible A vs. P movies...not so much the second one but defiantly the first.

A) isnt this supposed to be an Alien pre-quel?
B) If so I thought they stated a very strong desire to have a FEMALE as the lead?

I'll bet you they stopped calling it a prequel because of the normal negative reactions to preqeuels of legendary franchises. People will go faster to a potentially fresh sounding franchise rather than a new movie in a tired old franchise. Its better than a reboot anyway
