This Latest ALIEN: COVENANT Promotional Image Might Just Contain A Massive Plot SPOILER
Is 20th Century Fox determined to spoil every single aspect of Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant prior to its release? This new promo image could well be misdirection, but if not, you've been warned.
The general consensus seems to be that movie trailers spoil far to many elements of the plot these days, but Fox may have taken things to a whole new level with their latest bit of Alien: Covenant marketing.
On the heels of a new trailer which strongly hinted at the fate of Prometheus survivor Elizabeth Shaw, the film's official Twitter account has shared the following image, which appears to be an x-ray of Katherine Waterson's lead character with a damn alien sitting in her chest, waiting to burst into the world.
There's always a chance this is just for effect and things won't actually play out this way in the movie, but honestly, we wouldn't be surprised. What do you guys think? Sound off below.
“Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Demien Bichir and Danny McBride, and is set to hit theaters on August 4, 2017.
