There's been some talk of a fourth Jurassic Park movie for a while now, and Joe Johnston (director of the third instalment in the dinosaur franchise and upcoming Marvel Studios picture, Captain America: The First Avenger) has been attached to the project for equally as long. With Mark Protosevich, who worked on the story for THOR, and Steven Spielberg currently developing it, here's what Johnston had to say when talking to Screen Rant recently.

"We are in discussions about 'Jurassic Park 4.' The most important thing I can tell you is that it starts a new trilogy that will go off in a different direction — a completely different direction that is very exciting, and different from anything we’ve seen. It starts with the history of the first trilogy, but it spins it off in a completely different direction. That’s all I can tell you."

@Jazzywazzy, Well, Johnston is under contract to do a second Marvel movie, whether it ends up being Cap 2 or Winter Soldier as he wants to make, so he will be back regardless of what happens with the Jurassic franchise.

thats good we need a new trilogy.

loved the first film the second i would say the first three quarters was very good.

nuff said about the third,great cgi but thats it.

Oh and I'm totally down with a new trilogy. Why are people so upset? If it sucks, then you don't have to watch it, or you can say 'I told you so', so it's a win-win for you. Why do you not want them to make for OTHERS? Kinda selfish ain't it? Everyone else gets screwed cause you don't want to see another film? Where the [frick] is people's sense of fair these days. That part in part two where the T-Rex is F'n up Dego was my fav. They need this to take place on the mainland.
