JURASSIC WORLD Website Has Gone Live With A Viral Video & T-Rex Images

The official website for Universal's Jurassic World has gone live. There's plenty of new content to check out. Two of the highlights are a viral video and images of a tyrannosaurus rex.

The official Jurassic World website is up and running! Head on over to JurassicWorld.com (click here) to check out all the cool new content that is now available. Some sections are locked, like Tickets, Plan Your Visit, Park Cam, and Creation Lab. The viewable sections are Safety First, Masrani, News Feed, The Movie, Park Map, Our Founder, Dinosaurs and Raptor Pass.

I enjoyed the section listing all of the dinosaurs that are at the park. At the moment, only three of the dinosaurs (tyrannosaurus rex, triceratops, apatosaurus) have profiles that can be viewed. Of course, it wouldn't be Jurassic Park if there wasn't a glitch. The viral video, which you can view below, promotes Hilton hotel as the premiere destination for park-goers, but the sound doesn't work.
Even without the sound you'll get the gist of it.

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

Starring: Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, Judy Greer
Directed By: Colin Trevorrow

A little bit of faith was put into this movie.....I'm glad to see some of the dinosaurs look kind of like the dinosaurs from the first movie.

I hate to be totally irrelevant...but I hope the visual effects of the new Star Wars look like Star Wars, not a video game.
Sequels just need to respect part of what people fell in love with, while taking chances and being new. Which is what JW should do.

I wonder if this is the same T-Rex from the first movie. It has scars on the side as in the same spots where the raptor was clawing her.

Definitely looks like the same T-rex, great catch Ramiel! This takes place in real-time after the 1st Jurassic Park, right? So 22 years later? The hell is the lifespan on one of those things anyway?

Also, I wonder if the park caters only to the mega-rich. Everything seems futuristic and ridiculously expensive, but that'd go directly against Hammond's wishes in the first movie, when he said he wanted to make this affordable for everyone. Hope they write that into the movie and make it a big thematic point, if that's the case.

As a self-proclaimed Jurassic Park aficionado, these are the kinds of things I worry about haha.

@SauronsBANE
I think I read that the whole point of the new dinosaurs is because people are getting tired of the park. And it is open since 2005 so at this point it may not be that expensive.

M Night Shyamalan is going to direct the next one. It will be a day at the park where nothing goes wrong, all the dinosaurs stay in their pens, and everyone has a great time before heading home.

@Bekss Yeah that's true, if it's been operating for such a long time now that might mean it's a little more affordable for everyone. And while I'm still not sure about the whole "D-rex" thing, I like the mentality behind creating it: people actually getting bored of dinosaurs.

It's kind of meta in a way - we all saw Jurassic Park and were blown away by the practical and special effects...but that was so long ago. So maybe we're getting kind of bored of movie dinosaurs too. Maybe we all need a massive, intelligent, ridiculous new dinosaur to destroy the Jurassic Park in our lives. Or something like that. I dunno.

Hopefully, if this movie is successful, they will do a crossover with the Universal Monsters!!

@nerdman the weakest part about that movie was the practical effects they looked cool but the dinosaurs get crosseyed and they move awkwardly. The cgi was ahead of its time and looks great.
