GODZILLA Looms Large On New MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS Poster

Legendary Television's MonsterVerse spin-off series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, is set to premiere on Apple TV+ next month, and the streaming service has now debuted a new poster spotlighting the show's human characters - and a rather famous Titan!

The key art features Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell (who play the same character across two different timelines) along with Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Mari Yamamoto, Ren Watabe, and Anders Holm. Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski also star.

Of course, the marketing team would be doing themselves no favors if they didn't include at least one Kaiju, and the poster also gives us a new look at the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla, roaring into action in the background.

Legacy of Monsters is set after the events of 2014's Godzilla reboot, as San Francisco struggles to rebuild in the wake of the Titan's epic battle against the MUTOs. According to an updated synopsis from TV guide, the story "will focus on Cate, who survives the San Francisco showdown and travels to Japan to find her missing father. It is there she learns of a shocking betrayal, and Cate must team up with her half-brother and an American hacker to discover her family's ties with the mysterious organization known as Monarch."

Chris Black (Severance) and Matt Fraction (Hawkeye) developed the project, and the first two episodes were helmed by WandaVision and Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman.

Shakman recently confirmed that Big G will be joined by plenty of other well-known Titans in the small-screen spin-off, but didn't reveal exactly which creatures will feature.

We've seen the first five episodes, but are still under embargo for the time being. Keep an eye out for first reactions and reviews very soon, and check out the new poster below.

"Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real," reads the synopsis for the 10-episode series, "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch." "Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga - spanning three generations - reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives."

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is set to premiere globally with the first two episodes on Friday, November 17 on Apple TV+, followed by one episode every Friday through January 12.

I guess if those are the cast photos the designer had to work with.... they were probably mandated to make the Russels heads the biggest... probably in the contract these days or something (completely bullshit speculation on my part).

But as far as professional posters go ... I mean... it's not the worst but... not sure how it got the green light as their best efforts.

@TheVandalore - well , they are the biggest stars besides Godzilla himself lol so it makes sense to make them the most prominent humans on the poster

But yeah , not a great one.

I still wish we could see Wyatt and his dad share screen space in this but oh well , it’s still cool to see them play younger & older versions of the same character.

Interested to see if this will have any ramifications for the upcoming Godzilla & Kong film or not.

Are they able to use Godzilla in this or will it have to be all original monsters?
