About a month back Deadline reported that Noomi Rapace was a possible choice for Ridley Scott's prequel to iconic Sci-Fi movie series, Alien. Now Deadline is claiming that not only is she being considered, she is top choice for the role by the director and producers. After Nabbing the female lead in the sequel to Sherlock Holmes could Noomi possibly get another lead role?

Deadline's list for the actresses also in connection to the role include Carey Mulligan, Abbie Cornish, Natalie Portman and Olivia Wilde. Natalie Portman was also rumored to be clinching the role a few weeks back. Apparently each person on the list has gone to a meeting with the crew this week. Deadline is also saying Rapace's English may be a negative factor in whether or not she gets the role.
