A few weeks back, we received word that 20th Century Fox had moved up the release of Shane Black's The Predator from March 2018 to February 9, 2018 and now, it sounds like they may have started

We have a fresh piece of news for you, hot off the rumor mill, from Jeff Sneider, formerly of The Wrap, on today's installment of Meet the Movie Press, about James Franco (Spider-Man trilogy) possibly being in line to headline Black's upcoming Predator sequel. The news is strictly a rumor at this point, but considering Sneider's track record, there's almost definitely some weight to it. He didn't provide any additional details on the role in question, and considering that casting is still in its very early stages, it'll likely be a while before we learn any more.

You can check out Sneider's comments for yourself in the video below, starting at the 28:58 mark:

In an interview with Empire back in May, Black revealed that the main character of the film is named Quinn McKenna, so if Franco is indeed being courted, it's likely that he will portray McKenna. So, what do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

This could actually be a really cool combination. Shane Black is awesome, I still really need to see Nice Guys. But Iron Man 3 is among the best MCU movies.
