Deadline.com is reporting that two-time Tony award winning actress Jennifer Ehle is in talks to join the Jose Padilha helmed Robocop reboot in the role of "Liz Kline". Ehle is known as Myrtle Logue in 2010's The King's Speech and she also played the role of Dr. Ally Hextal in 2011's Contagion. She is also starring in the upcoming film Zero Dark Thirty.

The film is expected to shoot soon, with an already incredible cast consisting of Joel Kinnaman as Alex Murphy/Robocop, The Dark Knight Rises star Gary Oldman and The Avengers star Samuel L. Jackson.

In RoboCop, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

In case you didn't know, Jennifer is the daughter of Rosemary Harris, AKA Aunt May from the Raimi Spider-man movies.

She'd make a nice Lewis! But I don't think her character is in the film?

Yes, look like Meryl Streep!
Aunt May's daughter? Cool, so now we have Spidey, Batman and Avengers connections...

Jennifer Ehle was originally suppose to play Catelyn Stark on Game of Thrones as she played her on the Original Pilot. After the series was pickedup she dropped out as she just finished giving birth to bear daughter and didn't want to have a full commitment to HBO after having a child.
@santoanderson, I didn't know that.
