Zachary Quinto as Spock filming an action scene for the Untitled Star Trek 2 Sequel. After first rehearsing the scene with a Spock Stunt Double Actor Zachary Quinto was then rigged to a wire in front of a large green screen and lifted to a height of 10 stories high then dropped at a high rate of speed as if he was falling. In the scene Spock is wearing a "Volcano Suit" and carrying an unknown piece of equipment with the Starfleet Emblem. A Volcano is somehow involved in this scene. The crew had a real fire burning off camera to catch the fire reflections on Spok's "Volcano Suit".

"Star Trek 2" stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, John Cho and Alice Eve. The film is expected to be in theaters May 17, 2013.

For the record...I know Spock, and that's not Spock. That's some lame JJ/Quinto fembot version from a false dimension.

Can't wait for this movie
The fact that Abrams is using IMAX cameras (for who knows how much of the film) makes it all the better.

Plus with no writers strike this time, I expect that there will also be a better script to work with.

If he could make a great Star Trek movie out of a halfbaked script, Imagine what he can do now.

Damn. Beat me to it.

@Steping

I think it's more of a space suit rather than a biohazard suit. Still, they both look just as silly, just one is vintage at its finest.

@BRandom

Nope. Didn't like the film... It wasn't science fiction; the set designs were terrible (bar code scanners on the bridge? Really?); The story was terrible; the premise was terrible; I could go on.

My philosophy is, if you have to change that much, why call it Star Trek?

As it turns out, Nimoy's voice is a big park of the character for me. Qunito's sounds soooooooooooooo gay, and as it turns out....

@pintoman The film was the only redemption of Star Trek for me. Loved it but always hated the series
pintoman
pintoman - 4/16/2012, 3:35 PM
@Ha1frican

Well, then, you hated all Trek until the new movie? I guess this illustrates how different the film was from the Trek that came before.

I would argue that you had other films to fill your void and didn't need the Star Trek characters to help you with that. Personally, the idea of a crew on a ship is probably a bit old. No one could surpass what Next Generation accomplished. There are some great stories there. The best thing to have done is focus on the characters lives before they boarded Enterprise. Starfleet should have been the new platform.
