Could Lando Calrissian Be In STAR WARS: EPISODE VII?

A source for Movie Hole is telling the site that the character, ‘Lando Calrissian’ has been written into Michael Arndt's treatment for Star Wars: Episode VII. If true, it's time for Billy Dee Williams to bust out the Colt 45 and do some celebrating.

Movie Hole has recently spoken to an ex-employee of LucasFilm, and when the site asked about plot details, all they got back was this short reply, “No idea. just Luke, Leia, Han, Lando”.

Up to this point everyone has been fixated on whether or not Princess Leia, Han Solo or Luke Skywalker would be returning, but there hadn't been any word on Lando. Of course this is just a rumor, but it certainly would make sense for ‘Lando Calrissian’ to make an appearance in the sequel(s) as he did help defeat the Empire at the end of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. And of course if he is returning that would mean actor Billy Dee Williams can join his old friends Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill on the set.

I honestly could not care less if Lando was involved or not. I just want some new characters to focus on, with Luke being more of a mentor to whomever is involved.

For some reason I don't care to much about this movie as much as I do care for the marvel movies and dc comic movies, and I'm a star wars fan.

These articles are pointless. No offense to the author but now one of these are going to be written about every character in the Star Wars universe. What is next an article about if the blue milk will be back? Maybe IG-88's second cousin twice removed will be in SW VII?

Old people need love too. Some of you kiddies have a warped perspective. Sorry, but if this movie isn't about the classic characters with the original actors, then it won't be a true continuation of Return Of The Jedi. Real fans have waited a looooong time for this.

Bring on more of the Administrator of cloud city! Billy Dee is the coolest cat on the planet and Lando is the coolest cat in the galaxy (though Samuel L. and Mace Windu do follow close behind)! Any arguments are pointless and, so, will not be responded to.

Over and out.

Good idea - to launch the new universe you should tie it to the old as much as possible.

@darkmetal
I have never heard anyone in all the decades that have passed make a stupid comment like yours on how the cast looked bad in Jedi.

Quite the opposite actually,Billy Dee & Harrison Ford got the ladies wet & Mark Hamill looked more like a hardened Jedi.
Carrie Fisher became a sex icon in that metal bikini.

That's a fact & your opinion is crap.

I want a continuation of Jedi. I really want to see Luke as a Grandmaster.

I hope Lando is back. We need some old characters to connect the new characters to the Star Wars universe.
