This week, it was reported that one of the Star Wars spin-offs planned by Disney/LucasFilm would star none other than Yoda, who has appeared in every film in the franchise except for A New Hope. While Disney is reportedly just kicking around ideas for these spin-offs, Yoda would be an ideal choice for such a film, as he is one of the saga's most iconic characters. Speaking with Hero Complex, Frank Oz, who voiced the Jedi Master in the series, says that he's certainly up for reprising the role again, even though he hasn't heard anything from Disney/Lucasfilm about returning. "He’s in my heart. I know Yoda very deeply." He then says that he believes any future Yoda on film will be in CGI (as shown in the last two Star Wars films, Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith) rather than the traditional puppet. "I think it depends on the story, but I think at this point you can’t go back to the puppet. The reason George [Lucas] did the CGI, which I supported, was that he wanted to tell a story that would have been hampered by the physical limitations of the puppet." Would you like to see Frank Oz's Yoda return for a future Star Wars film?

Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days Of Future Past) and Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) are writing two separate spin-off scripts, and two characters reportedly being planned for the film treatment are Boba Fett and young Han Solo. J.J. Abrams (Star Trek Into Darkness) is directing Star Wars: Episode VII, which may be released in 2015 and will kick off a brand new sequel trilogy.
