GLASS ONION Star Daniel Craig Reveals How His STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Cameo Became A Reality

We're used to seeing Daniel Craig don a suit as James Bond, but back in 2015, he swapped his tux for a Stormtrooper uniform. Now, the actor explains how his Star Wars: The Force Awakens cameo happened!

It was way back in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens that Daniel Craig made a cameo "appearance" as Stormtrooper FN-1824. For those of you who missed him in the movie, the former 007 played the easily influenced First Order soldier who was tasked with guarding Daisy Ridley's Rey.

It was a fun moment, and one the actor looks back at fondly. In the video below (via SFFGazette.com), Craig admits that he had no idea what his Stormtropper's designation was, joking: "Yes, that role was very dear to me. Is that was the character was called? I tried to get into the next two but no luck."

However, he'd then go on to admit, "I love Star Wars, I wouldn’t have asked to be in it otherwise. Ben Dixon, who’s an assistant director on those movies and he was an AD on our movie as well, and I was doing fittings. I asked him 'Could I get a part in this?' And he just said let me go and ask. The next day, I was in a f***ing Stormtrooper suit!"

"I had to wear the thing all day and I couldn’t feel my hands by the end of the day," Craig continued. "I thought, 'God, these poor people have to wear them in the desert.' I wouldn’t have done it if I had to go to Tunisia."

Venom star Tom Hardy later followed in his fellow Brit's footsteps by making a cameo appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. However, his scene ended up on the cutting room floor.

As for Craig, now he's done playing James Bond, we'd love to see him return to this Galaxy Far, Far Away in a much bigger role. Whether that will happen is hard to say, especially as many of his fans are convinced a role in the MCU is actually up next for him!

I'd love to see him get a proper role in Star Wars at some point in the future. Seeing as he's already played a number of badass, grounded, grittier characters it might actually be a nice change of pace to see him in a more fantastical role like a Jedi.

Seeing someone like him geek out over getting to be in Star Wars just makes me smile; plus that he incidentally complained about how miserable being a Stormtrooper is makes it even more perfect.

I never knew this, holy shit! That's just awesome!

You can definitely tell that Daniel was having so much fun in that scene and as Blanc (I just watched Glass Onion yesterday, it was great! In some cases, better than the first film)

Daniel Craig was never in a REAL Star Wars movie. Just Disney fan fiction.
