HEROES' Greg Grunberg Joins STAR WARS: EPISODE VII
Long-time J.J. Abrams friend and collaborator Greg Grunberg (officer Matt Parkman in the Heroes tv series) has announced via Twitter that he will have a role in the director's currently shooting Star Wars flick -- though he won't reveal any more.
Greg Grunberg (who can currently be seen on Showtime's Masters Of Sex) is a childhood friend of J.J. Abrams, and actually appeared in the director's first home movies back in the '70s. Since then he's popped up in most of Abrams' projects, albeit usually in pretty small roles -- his largest was arguably playing the doomed airline pilot from Lost. Now the actor has responded to a fan's query by revealing that yes, he will also play a part in Star Wars: Episode VII.
Given the Abrams/Grunberg history it's not likely to be a very big role, but I guess that remains to be seen. Star Wars: Episode VII stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, David Oyelowow, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. The movie hist theatres December 18, 2015.
