In a recent interviewith IGN, Matthew McConaughey (who has already expressed interest in a superhero movie role) revealed that Star Wars is something he would definitely consider under the right conditions. "Sure – there’s not anything that I’m not open to embracing. I want it to be a quality script, I want a quality character. I want to be a little scared of it. I want to have new challenges. I want to do something… find in a character where I can get to a point where I feel like nobody could be doing this but me. I’m going to have an original experience… an original take. That takes work to get to that point, but whatever the genre I’m wide open." He then went on to reveal his love of Wookies, leading him to reflect on another of his favourite movies. "King Kong is one of my favourite love stories. I’ve got an affection for the mammalian in all of us. I’m simple – I’ve always got a soft spot for the furry creatures." McConaughey would undoubtedly make an amazing addition to any future Star Wars movie, but whether or not he'll end starring in one remains to be seen! What do you guys think? Interstellar wasn't that good, it was alright. Certainly not one of the greatest of all time.

Interstellar is one of the best sci-fi movies in recent history, for sure. But one the greatest of all time? That might be a stretch. McConaughey is not right for Star Wars. Great actor, but not for Star Wars.

He is such a quality actor. His performance in True Detective still one of the best performances I've ever seen.

"After starring in one of the greatest sci-fi movie of all-time with Christopher Nolan's Interstellar"

Most laughable statement besides having McConaughey playing a super hero or Star Wars Role…
Maybe he can be the Stoner of the Galaxy.

Interstellar is not near the greatest Sci-Fi movies… Probably "Nolan's greatest disappointment" is a better head line to replace "one of the greatest sci-fi movie of all-time with Christopher Nolan's Interstellar"…
visual quality was great but story was poodoo.

Not even close to being " One of the best ". I wouldn't mind seeing Matt in a Star Wars though.

Hell NO!!!! This egotistical prick has an allotment on each film to have a minimum of 8-15 sec. so that he can have his shirt off and show his chest and abs. That would be even more horrible in a star wars film! Go back and drive off in ur CADILLAC ...see ya bee-otch!

He's too big of a name to simply introduce as a main character in Star Wars. Star Wars is about young people beginning a long journey, and Matthew in no way can hold a mentor or authority position

I was really hoping this was a nailbiter article... Then I would know it was a joke. Sadly...it's Wilding, and an attempt to start a war.
