Game of Thrones alum Emilia Clarke joined the galaxy far, far away as the duplicitous Qi'Ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story, but with a direct sequel to Ron Howard's divisive movie looking more and more unlikely, the chances of her getting the opportunity to reprise the role seem pretty slim.
Of course, the door is always open for Qi'Ra to return in the Lando Calrissian series that's currently in development, but Clarke is going to be kept busy in a Disney+ show of her own (Marvel's Secret Invasion), so her schedule simply may not accommodate it.
Whether we see Qi'Ra again in live-action form remains to be seen, but the character did recently return in the pages of Marvel's Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters crossover event, and Clarke was delighted to see her story continue.
"It means so much," Clarke told ComicBook.com. "It means the absolute world. I know her backstory. I know her history. Maybe the movie didn't get to go there, but that was such an honor and a privilege to be part of that universe as an actor. So then, to see the character actually be taken on to the origin of all of it — bringing it on home to the family in that way — cemented it in a way. I was not expecting to feel as moved as I was by that."
Qi'Ra betrayed her old friend at the end of Solo in order to take a higher-ranking position in the Crimson Dawn, and we see that she's still working with Darth Maul's crime syndicate in War of the Bounty Hunters when she's revealed to be the mysterious hooded figure who stole Han's carbonate block from Boba Fett.
