Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' world premiere took place last night, and just as it was back in the pre-COVID days, that means we now have the first reactions from those in attendance.
While there's definitely a lot of excitement for the latest Marvel Studios movie, the trailers really haven't given much away, particularly when it comes to how this story will fit into the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well, based on these comments from critics, this movie is about to open the door to a whole new side of this shared world, thanks, in part, to an origin story like no other.
Shang-Chi definitely sounds like a movie that will exceed expectations, and for those of you who feel like you already know how the story will play out, it appears Marvel Studios has some big surprises in store. Time will tell what those are, but this doesn't sound like a simple father/son story.
We've come to expect early reactions like these to be massively positive, so it will be interesting to see how the reviews compare when they start dropping early next week. If these Tweets are any indication, though, it looks like this is going to be another critical hit in the MCU's Phase 4.
